EDSA Bus Lane - SAICT Enforcement

A recurring concern aired by the public is the significant number of ambulances using the busway during peak hours in the morning and evening.
This topic was also touched upon in a recent DOTr event about “colorum” ambulances, along with discussions from enforcement personnel about some ambulances allegedly being used for private purposes.
Some participants at the event noted that the public is becoming desensitized to emergency vehicles due to the excessive use of emergency lights and sirens.
Enforcers took great care to avoid disrupting any legitimate emergency response, and showed utmost respect to emergency responders
As you’ll see in the video, the recurring theme is that the ambulance is being used to transport a patient for a scheduled checkup or appointment - so the brief interaction with the enforcer had a minimal impact on their trip.
Ambulances with proper documentation were promptly allowed to continue their trip.
Unfortunately, some drivers were unable to produce trip tickets or any relevant vehicle documents, or presented documents suggesting that the vehicle was not registered as an ambulance despite its markings. In such cases, violation tickets were issued.
At least one driver was unable to produce his drivers license card to enforcers, saying it had been left in another vehicle.

As mentioned in the video, you should always assume it's an emergency and give way. Delaying emergency vehicles can cost lives. Let's respect and support the hard working responders who work tirelessly every day to serve the public.

Props for that high ranking PNP officer for taking the bus. Magandang ehemplo para sa publiko.
-
Awesome work on cracking down these fake UVs and PTVs pretending to be ambulances.
-
For some reason, it's always during rush hour that you see these ambulances. Nakakasira ng tiwala.

Impound the illegal vehicles posing as an ambulance.

As someone watching from New Zealand - these videos ain’t the same without Kuya Bong! He wasn’t scared of anything/anyone. Miss him man!

Matalino talaga ang mga Pinoy para maka-lamang lang sa kapwa. Ambulansya ginawang transpo para magamit ang bus lane. Nakakadismaya.

Bus Lanes are the future talaga if you want to eliminate traffic. Sana di yan matigil para maparehas tayo sa ibang bansa na nag aadopt nang "Walkable Cities:

Good job by those traffic officers manning the bus lane and making sure that those ambulance vehicles are really certified for the job with proper documentation both for the vehicle and the driver/personnel inside the ambulance.
-
Too many scam ambulances.Good job IACT for apprehending those abusive 'illegal ambulances'. Warm Salute Gadget A.

Just noticed a pile up of buses, also in rare times i pass by EDSA, i notice buses lining up. I’d like to reco an to have alternate loading: Bus 1 will unload and load, bus 2 will unload and proceed to the next stop, then do it alternately. This will hit 4 birds, more trips for buses, less pile up, faster turn around and more chances for other bus stops to have seating for passengers

Great job on having us learn and expose those fake ambulances during rush hour.

Fantastic work! Especially with the overhead video views from different directions. Great educational channel! 😊

Bringing back the confidence to ambulances is like confidence with pnp... they are drowning bad.

This is why we can’t have nice things.

Yep, there's been a lot of those ambulances plying with sirens on at SLEx as well during traffic peak hours, for the past 6-10 years (excluding during the pandemic lockdowns). Makes you think why there seems to be more emergencies happening during peak hours of traffic.

Strongly suggest to impose hefty fines on those faking ambulances

Great to know that the bus lane is STILL being maintained properly. Thank you for another great video, GA!

Pretty simple solution, driver/owner using ambulance as people transport 30 days in jail. Confiscate vehicle for 6 months. It will stop PDQ.
