The Darkest Tales - All Bosses + Ending

i love both the voice for Pinocchio here and the fact he just says his moves like some sort of superhero lol

Red Riding Hood : a hunter with a thirst of blood Chicken : a dragon with the look of a goose vomiting explosive eggs Giant Blunderbore : wife of a tyrannic king who is a gigantic doll. Snow white : captain with a mask Peter pan : a demon locked himself in a dark bubble with his shadow (a smart representation of the syndrome of peter pan). Pinocchio : a golem made of shipwreck controlled by his father/doctor who hates fairies. The little mermaid : a collection who want people to be amazed by her body. Princess : a Mantis disguised as a princess to eat any people who tried to "rescue" her (that is smart because mantis actually eating their husbands when they are pregnant. this girl is actually waiting for a husband and when he's ducked, she grab him and eat him). Dragon : a transformation of Merlin to get rid of the nightmares. Fairy : a bowl of light with a girl looking form. I personally think that this character is the representation of a growing up Alice. The ideas for these bosses are so amazing. The animations are not impressive, but the story still nice.

So these are some pretty interesting twists on some classic characters. Some are kind of obvious reversals, but I also like some of the clever ones. Like Sleeping Beauty being a Mantis, which basically plays with the idea of a Prince coming to kiss the Princess to wake her up, but a Mantis kills and eats their mates, sooooo it’s a big lure for food. The Peter Pan mixed with Snow White threw me off at first, seemed random to be the only level(I think) that mixes two stories together, and they felt random. But when you stop and think about it, it’s super clever. It made both of the protagonists villains as they were mixed with the other character’s villain. Snow White mixed with Captain Hook which maybe wasn’t as in depth, but I love Peter Pan mixed with the Evil Queen. It actually makes sense, as the Queen is obsessed with being the most beautiful, which would entail looking young, and Peter Pan is the boy who never grew up. So you basically make a Peter Pan obsessed with being forever young(when he mentioned not harming his fair skin during the fight was the real tip off that he was mixed with the Queen and her motives), they even did it so by the end he turned much older and disgusting like the Queen did.

Ah, i get it, lighty is the incarnation of those little lights you plug on the wall for the child room not be in complete darkness, she was abandoned like teddy, thus how he can say he know where she came from, THEY are old, worn and tired, the BOTH of them where there when she was young and left behind when she didn't need them anymore When teddy in the final battle when talking with her, he called her lightbulb, that where it clicked in my head Teddy said he didn't do anything special He just.... turn off the light

When you keep the light on at night but the bills start to stack up

I love the clever plays on the fairy tales. Especially Geppetto being a puppet himself.

So, from what I interpreted, the guardians had adapted to the nightmarish state of Alicia's dream world by becoming these monsters and villains in order to protect her from Lighty. Just like how animals adapt to their enviornment to survive. If I misunderstood something, let me know.

I was surprised by all these twisted tales of Grimm's Fairy Tales. Red Riding Hood became the hunter with a bloodthirst. The "Chicken" was just a machine, meant to give and give. Jack became king of the giants, and took one as a wife... then developed a taste for human flesh. Snow White instead of being an ignorant girl, took to the high seas, gathering her crew of dwarves Peter Pan became a necromancer and performed forbidden rituals for immortality. Killing the Lost Boys for the Philosopher's Stone. Geppeto asking for a child, but when the heavens denied him his wish, he made one. Turning him mad and disconnected Aerial desired to walk, but no one helped, so she charmed everyone with her voice. Enslaved all to do her bidding. Aurora laid in wait for the one to wake her up, only to have a trap setup for prey to come to her. Merlin turned dark, knowing that the light was trying to hurt his charge. And Lighty... Tinkerbell that had enough with being toyed with, so she turned arcane, and wrought destruction on the Dreamlands. Man... the villains' in these stories just make it a nice setting around a campfire. Welp, you either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become a villain.

By looks of the ending it looks like the little girl was in a coma tortured in her long sleep and teddy helped her to wake up

So Lighty was the true villian all this time

Who knew someone who sounded so annoying turned out to be the antagonist

Looks like we have ourselves some lore call the theory detectives if this story is already done for since the lore was little

4:00 the teddy says it is a goose monster thing and imo he is right, if you dont get it, there is a fairy tail called "jack and the bean stalk" and there is a goose that lays golden eggs in it so that is what the boss is

Hold on. In end was Alicia waken was actually that she have a coma long time. The light was a deaseas of her body and bear was a cure. Is it true

The way Geppetto speaks when you arrive to fight him sort of reminds me of Count Batula from Conker’s Bad Fur Day. I think it’s the way they sound when they talk, and they might have similar speech patterns there too.

I actually really liked this game. Worth trying the demo for anyone curious about it.

I remember playing the demo of this a few months ago, its awesome how much it has evolved
