Coming off Very Tough 12F Race in Belmont...Raced Wide today throughout especially on far Turn when VERY Wide...Kept coming and coming...Soon as his Rival on rail Threatened him he Kicked it in and showed his Grit...He was finishing Better than rest of field...Such an Easy Horse to root for

I had no problem with the ride Luis gave.. he knew he was on the best horse so going wide was no problem. Rather that than get stuck in traffic on a 2-5 favorite

EQ does just enough to WIN! Why over-exert for a Grade 2. Even 4 wide in 2 turns was easy peasy no wasted effort.

When all is said and done EQ might be the best 3 year old of this generation but its not by much is a tight group of horses. Life is Good and RHC will have something to say too.

Surprised I Ortiz on Weyburn would “race ride” Saez by fanning him wide on the final turn entering the stretch. Ortiz obviously knew he didn’t have any “horse” left Didn’t see the point of the tactics if Ortiz couldn’t battle the eventual winner all the way down the stretch instead of throwing in the towel at the top of the stretch. Certain jockeys decade in and decade out need to check their egos and leave them in the jock’s room once they head out to the paddock.
