FOR EVERYONE ASKING WHAT THE HECK MATERIAL THAT WHITE BACKDROP IS, SEARCH FOR A "WHITE PERSPEX SHEET" OR "WHITE ACRYLIC SHEET". They actually come in many colours and many building material supply stores will sell them. I'm sorry I didnt clarify it enough in the video. Thanks everyone for your wonderful feedback. Makes me feel good that I can help a lot of people 👍🏻 more videos coming.

The difference between you and most of the photographers on the planet, is that you know how to teach. Very well done.
  • no music no bullshit no funny acting just straight to the point just the way i like on youtube!!! subscribed right away!
  • @theshallow3101
I subscribed because this is straightforward, no annoying transition, no annoying music, spot-on humor, and very clean from start to finish. Great job!
  • @edytar1511
That is literally the best tutorial about photography I've seen on youtube. I'm an amateur and you have made the basics crystal clear, thank you so much!
  • @janplexy
4:46 - "look at that" 4:51 - "look, look at that" 5:12 - "ohh, look at that" 5:14 - "ohh, man, look at that" 5:30 - "woow, look at that!!" 7:40 - "boom, ooh, look at that" 8:10 - "look at that" 8:32 - "look at that, look at that" 8:58 - "now, look at that!"

This is how teaching should be. Simple, to the point, give visual examples to prove you actually know what you're doing, and a positive! Subscribed.
  • @tumtuber
One of the extremely rare, no BS photography tutorials out there. You really have a knack for teaching and know what you're talking about. Thanks and Wish you the very best, Luke!
  • @Smajtastic
Absolutely love how direct with a good dose of sarcasm you exhibit in this video, so refreshing, it feels like a friend being patronizing taking you through the basics like you didn't pay attention the first time, but they technically ARE giving you the time of day.
  • @onubok
I love your personality. Its very "calm the f%&k down susan, its not that complicated" I'm totally here for it 😂
  • @jakelex1177
When he said dirt cheap - I knew I was watching the right video
  • Did you ever know that you’re my heroooOooOoo? No for real, this is so bloody helpful. I bought a $20 light tent online but this is actually showing me how to use it and how the lighting should work. You’re a champ. My jewellery says thanks, you made them look cute
  • @Yen486
Professional studios would hate him, a secret revealed!
  • @freshfast6197
1:03 reason for curve background 2:30 products look good If they are put in angle 4:02 white shoe box as light reflector 4:34 baking paper for softening light
  • @sabinegilson257
I just put over $120 worth of lighting equipment into my cart and thought "Let's give it one more try for a good video on how to do this cheaply." and here you are! Thank you so much for saving me this money! I really appreciate this video!
  • @falatoronto
I watched this to the end, nine absorbing minutes of how a single light can lift a product. Great teacher.
  • @Goody2shzToo
I studied photography in college and this is the best instruction on lighting I've ever had.
  • @Bangoomee
"You're basically writing with light" love it
  • @amthunder1
Luke, This is one of the BEST tutorials I've seen. Simple, to the point without the blah,blah,blah... Thank you so much for this. I'm a semi -pro photographer but, I'm always looking for simple, cool hacks lie this one. I'm subscribing.
  • @EricAdamsYT
You have completely demystified the basics of lighting and corrected several problems I've been having. Spectacular!
