How I Unlocked Tarnished Samson

Its always a treat when modders implement more biblical lore into the pre-existing characters

In Samson’s story Delilah was a woman that Samson fell in love with. Delilah was convinced by the rulers of the Philistines to figure out the secret behind Samson’s power. Three times he was asked, and three times he told a lie to her. Until she asked one final time and he gave the true answer. Delilah would then shave his hair while he slept, causing his power to leave him. After this, the Philistines would capture him and chain him to the two pillars that are referenced in this unlock. TLDR: Delilah’s razor is a reference to how Delilah shaved Samson’s head to make his strength go away.

Here is what you need to know about Samson: he was Goku. Straight up. The more hair he had, the more power he had. He just murdered a whole army with a donkey jaw. Then Delilah showed up, she tricked him into telling her about his hair so she could shave it, and he lost his strength and got captured by the Phillistines. After being hung up by chains for awhile, he asked for repentance from god, and God said “Bet”, giving him enough strength to sacrifice himself and knock the whole temple down. Samson was an anime character

By the way, the method you unlock him is a reference to the Bible and Samson's hair lock powers, his use of a donkey jaw as a weapon and the rage against his enemies - the Philistines.

So for those of you curious, Delilah was Samson’s lover, but was secretly working for the Philistines. She tried to figure out the secret to his strength, and he lied to her many times but eventually told her. She cut off his hair and the philistines captured him. He was kept in jail for many months, until he was able to grow his hair out enough to ask god for one last burst of strength. With this strength he collapsed the pillars of the cell, crumbling the building onto him and his captors.

The shock factor of just seeing, “the philastines are upon you,” is fucking golden.

I've already completed everything with this character. He has an unbelievably wonky skill ceiling, but I've completed runs with base damage. His synergies are that good.

If "THE PHILISTEINS ARE UPON YOU" doesn't become the binding's "Something wicked this way comes" I will be hurt personally as a fan of both isaac and ULTRAKILL

Given the fact that Samson is arguably the most badass character in the entire Bible, it’s only right that the devs do him justice.

What was additionally good about the special boss rush thing was it gave you a look into tarnished Samsons gimmick of throwing pillars. Very well made

Hey, Matt. I think, I'm find interesting "challenge" for you. Sharp Key + Skeleton Key + Mom's Key and replace all item in boss pool with Skeleton Key. I was very surprised when find that Sharp Key actually have most synergy and can oneshot even champions. Best part - when enemy die by shark key, it can drop a loot from random chest poll.
