In this video Konfuzion discovers a scrap glitch, which leads to infinite resources on any Rust server. Konfuzion took advantage of this glitch big time, by walling off the entire server.

This is nothing like rust console. what is rust you may ask, the rust game is a game that has never been seen before by anyone. Rust xbox is now out, although earlier this month there were rust drops. The rust ps4 however is out right now.
The only aim in Rust is to survive. To do this you will need to overcome struggles such as hunger, thirst and cold. Build a fire. Build a shelter. Kill animals for meat. Protect yourself from other players, and kill them for meat. Create alliances with other players and form a town. Do whatever it takes to survive.

The weird negative scrap issue is actually a really funny outcome of having such a big number. Essentially in computers, integers represent both positive and negative, but are limited on each end. You obtained so much scrap that you went above the positive limit and overflowed into the negative numbers!

The negative number thing is called an overflow. In code, the number used to store how many items in a stack can be either signed or unsigned. In the case of a signed number, the highest bit in the number is reserved for indicating if the number is positive (0) or negative (1). When it tries to double the number, it rolls over to the next highest bit, but as we know, that last bit is used to indicate negative. :)

That IS a big glitch, but I remember years back a dupe glitch and people duped a lot of C4. There was that code lock bug where anyone could get through them too. Maybe one of the biggest... I digress, great video! I have a strange bit of deja-vu.

I mean. Walling off the server sounds fun... but not as much fun as walling off everyones individual bases. Or just the zergs. You coulda made endless mine fields 2. Set up turrets and mine fields. Made a great big pile of heli in the middle of them.

when it says 1 scrap youre actually in a negative integer buffer overflow. after the number reaches its maximum size, it goes to the same size but in the negative, and then it goes back to 0 again, slowly, but it looks like the game shows 1 scrap as long as its in the negative without telling the actual value. that's why you couldn't afford in shop.

Things like that where you get something that EVERYONE notices and can start talking about from a game as some freak of nature or absolutely impossible feat are EXACTLY the kinds of things I absolutely adore in multiplayer games! I have to sub now!
