Reykjavík is the capital and largest city of Iceland. It is located in southwestern Iceland, on the southern shore of Faxaflói bay. Its latitude is 64°08' N, making it the world's northernmost capital of a sovereign state.[a] Reykjavík has a population of around 140,000 as of 2023

Reykjavík had a population of 121,822 in 2015. It is the centre of Iceland's cultural, economic, and governmental activity, and is a popular tourist destination among foreigners.

The city was officially founded in 1786 as a trading town and grew steadily over the following decades, as it transformed into a regional and later national centre of commerce, population, and governmental activities. It is among the cleanest, greenest, and safest cities in the world.

If you want to keep your peaceful society, don’t import any problems.

as an eastern european, I hope they will understand to protect themselves and their society from artificially created problems and that they will remain the blonde nation of Europe. The rest of Europe is falling apart.

In one of the opening scene in the Icelandic movie 101 Reykjavik, the lead character Hlynur explains to an immigrant dance instructor the fundamentals of Iceland. "There are no insects, no trees, no nothing. The only reason people live here is because they were born here".🤣

The first time I saw Bjork interviewed, the host asked her what it's like in Iceland. She said there is a lot of depression leading to suicide, and there are a lot of cemeteries. I didn't expect such a bleak response. Those long winter months can be a real bear on the psyche.

Saw some Icelandic girls on a bus once. I was floored by their good looks. Guys that live in Iceland are lucky.

I was there a few years ago and I loved it. If you don't like crowded places and like seeing as few people as possible that's the place to be. With all the natural beauty as well, it's a true magical place indeed. Don't go to the capital though, the prices are ridiculous and not many things to see & do, lots of tourist traps. I would like to go to the north, more natural beauty, cheaper and even less people.

Iceland is a very small country, seriously, there are less than 300,000, which depends completely on globalization for its high standard of living, but does not allow foreign people to live in its territory. The message they deliver is clear: "we want your products, we want your money, but we don't want you."

I have to say, having been previously married twice to Icelandic women and lived in Reykjavik for a short time, I can say that Icelanders are pretty plain and unremarkable people but the topography of their country is truly spectacular. You wouldn’t want to live there though…

Random fact - blondes make up only 5% of the world population. Red Heads are only 1%. You are unique in this world.

Icelandic women are stunningly beautiful!. We went there for a visit, both my ex GF and I noticed even airport workers are so pretty. There is a reason why Icelandic women won the Miss World title multiple times.
