For this video I decided to take a walk down Jomtien Beach and show some of the new business that have opened along Beach Road. I also tell a story about my previous life as a police officer and a situation that could have ended very badly for me.

My name is Brian but everyone calls me Greeny. I retired in January of 2020 after working 30 years in Law Enforcement. I wanted to retire young enough to be able to do some of the things I always dreamed about! I knew I wanted to travel extensively and retire somewhere warm and exotic I sampled a ton of places in the Caribbean, Panama, Colombia, Turkey but set my sights on Thailand.

Great content! I'm the guy from California that you talked to on your walk that day across from the night market. It was pleasure meeting you 👍

I have been doing one meal a day just dinner and eating keto . It’s a great healthy choice. I have better clarity and dropped a lot of weight for 2 years now. No more meds for me too. I’m busy doing things all day long too. You’d be surprised just a simple diet change can make a huge difference in your health, The rouge river story is great ☝️ one

1:48 you ask a dog what he is doing. Like Thai dog is going to understand you. LOL🤣🤣

Always interesting Greeny, good stuff. You were a 'rock' in swimming classes, hehe, that made me chuckle. And then diving into a polluted river with 30lb equipment on,glad you made it back to shore. Cheers.

Great story Greeny! 😅. Can't wait to get there this fall retired. I usually stay in Korat but I probably will look around for a place down that way. Jomtien looks pretty cool. Well...take care bud! Enjoy your day. P.S. been pretty hot here in Michigan.

Mad cow burger. Interesting name for a beef restaurant. Life has those points in time that we often realize later were life threatening, but at the time we just do our best. Jomtien is a good place to live. Thanks for the video and enjoy your reunion. You may decide not to return for the 50th so enjoy.
  • @bakismash
That was a good story. Thank you for your service. In Los Angeles, it’s not easy to make retirement as a cop. Base on what I seen on the news. I’m assuming here. Cheers
  • Hello Greeny, I live in Jomtien and love it. I moved here 2.5 years ago from Las Vegas. We exchanged a few words about 1.5 years ago when you visited a coffee shop on Prattamnak soi 5 with your then girlfriend. Keep up.the good work, enjoyable viewing.

Hearing you tell the story of your duties with the Detroit PD brought back childhood memories! We lived in Detroit in the early to mid 60s. Our house was on Parkside; I believe it was between 6 and 7 Mile. We went to GESU grade school and my older brothers went to U of D High! We moved out just before the riots 🙏

It's great to hear a fellow Detroit guy in Thailand. What year reunion? I thought u said 20 but it's gotta be more, right?
  • Hey Greeny, that close call you had at McNichols and Lahser was less than 2 miles from where I am. You won't be surprised to find out that little has changed in the neighborhood. I enjoy your content and wish you the best of luck on your retirement journey in Thailand. Hopefully, some day I'll your neighbor in Jomtien.

I’m currently on vacation in Japan. I’m in Tokyo and tomorrow I’m taking the Shinkansen to Kanazawa. On the subject of language I’m getting by just fine with maybe 10 phrases at most. As you know from your own travels in Japan their English can be patchy or even non existent. Next subject- In Hollywood they say it comes down to diet and I’m inclined to agree with them. I eat breakfast at the hotel and then one square meal usually a late lunch. Today it was sushi prepared fresh at the counter. Yesterday it was Ramen. Because I’m on vacation I also have a couple of beers. Back home I rarely drink. In Tokyo you do a lot of walking simply taking the subway so there’s your exercise.
