1st time I have seen someone take the time to do a comprehensive walk thru install and show all config options. Very good Job! I actually watched the whole thing!. Really good Presentation skills and not boring. Thank you!
  • @RedNekNix
Thank you. This was a lot of work. No an incredible amount of work. Extremely well done. I watched the whole thing. One of the best tutorials I have seen in years. Very well paced and organized. I have been looking for info on MX when this popped up in my feed. Not my normal fare - as i have been using linux for almost 20 years. I had one of my nephews (who I just gave and old thinpak t440) watch this . It did a much better job of explaining and showing than I could even in person. I am really impressed. I am posting this in the MX subreddit. I hope that gives it some traction that it deserves.

MX Linux, given its stability and all those extra tools, is easily the most awesome Debian-based OS I have used since I came to Linux 12 years ago. So it's always great to see upbeat tutorials drawing attention to its many good points. But yours isn't just upbeat - as far as introductions to Linux systems go, it is probably the most user-friendly, persuasive presentation I've ever come across. Absolutely brilliant stuff, and for newbies the go-to thing if they want to gather info before they decide on what OS to install. I was alerted to it in the MX Linux Forum, and when I read it was nearly 2 hours long, I thought WTF - but I watched all of it without a single break. You are a fine communicator and deserve tons of credit for what obviously is a work of love. Oh, and your four-legged room mate is the icing on the cake :-)
  • @metodk
This is an awesome, detailed presentation. I often searched how to tweak Mx linux, or was not sure of all those settings and it's all here in one video. Thank you. You got a subscriber :)

I have recently moved to Linux after 38 years of using MS Dos then Windows Did, of course, quite a bit of research and have looked at the obvious distros such as Mint then LMDE then Debian then Neon-Plasma 6.1 Of All the research I have done this 'Set-up...' vid has been the Most persuasive content on the benefits of Linux generally, and MX in particular. Will install MX asap. THANK YOU for the generous time and effort to make this and other vids. Your Xfce tuning vid will be next for me. I have recently had a feeling about that DE and hopefully it will be the one I stick with

STAEMPUNK I would like to congratulate you on an excellent presentation style, I find your pace and ability to convey information very comfortable while remaining extremely engaging. I have been using MX for about 2 years now and still found your video to be very informing and incite-full, I have subscribed and look forward to learning more from you in the future. Regards Shane

Kudos to you for doing such a well done series of videos on MX-21 XFCE. They are wonderfully informative and make setting up and configuring the MX-21 XFCE distro so much easier. You cover an awful lot but still go at a pace where it's easy to follow along. Other Linux distro reviewers could take a lesson from you on how to do a Youtube review. Thank you for all the work you put into making these videos.
  • @MrRoko91
I'm subscribed to 224 channels and you are the only one who I would sit and watch for near 2 hours. Brilliant stuff! ♥ Only one note: as far as I know dark theme can significantly improve battery life on OLED screen but on LCD screen it's actually slightly worse 'cuz the liquid crystals only block light when voltage is applied 🙂
  • I'm really looking forward to the pimping-your-XFCE video. I hope it's coming soon. You're doing a wonderful job so far. Keep it up.
  • @corkerydan
Well done. I really enjoy MX Linux XFCE. Your videos make it more functional and far better looking. I wouldn't have implemented many of the subjects on my own. Cheers!
  • @iPowerFound
Thanks another great video tutorial, I loved your visitor at 1:46:33 what a cutie! Very impressive presentation. You need to get sponsored with this quality work. :)
  • @fredman1956
I am a new convert to Linux, you have the BEST instructional videos on MX Linux, thank you very much. I am having a hell of time installing Jellyfin. I appreciate any help. Thanks
  • @espertempo
Your video is so informative, I learned about MX linux but also plenty of other info I can apply to other distros. Thank you!
  • Thanks to you setting up MX linux on my desktop was a piece of cake, and I watched the second video about configuration. It was awesome!
  • @whothellami
Out-bloody-standing. I've been running Linux since my first Red Hat install in 99 and this is the best operating system tutorial I've ever seen--bar none. Thank you and congrats on a job well done. I wish you all the best in your future endeavours.
  • What a fantastic tutorial video, this is simply an extraordinary work of art. detailed and professional. Thank you mate!
  • @NebRadojkovic
I came across your channel just now, on July 27 because I was trying to learn more about MX Linux that I absolutely love. Straighaway I did learned some interesting things about tweaking, installing, partitioning etc. I have been using Linux Mint since 2006 and probably spent hundreds of hours of different videos on Linux. I have to tell you that I enjoy very much your approach in explaining every step that you make. It is very easy to follow and very informative. Thank you. Cheers!
  • @arniespace
Glad I stuck with you until the end. The first half of the video was a recap for me since I've been using MX Linux for a couple of years now. The second half of the video I found to be very useful. Thanks so much for making it. Everything is well explained and easy to follow along. I have MX on two different computers at the moment. I have a old Panasonic Tough Book with three SSD's I can pop in without opening it up, there is a hatch on the side to swap out drives. One drive has the original Windoze 10 on it, don't use that one much anymore. One drive is my main driver with MX Linux and the third gets different Linux distros all the time for testing. For the past couple of years I haven't found another Linux distro that I like better than MX Linux. I am more knowledgeable today thanks to you.

Awesome video! Changing the theme was really slick 😎 Keep up the good work! ✌️
