I want to curb stomp whoever had the idea of making rotb optimus an exclusive. If he was a normal release, me and everyone else would’ve had him by now

I really hope the new Optimus isn't a pain to find up here, so far I haven't seen a trace of him. Still baffles me they made him exclusive.

6:29 I have to point this out: that's paint. The mid-section sides and crotch piece is made of blue plastic thanks to the molding and painted over in that pearl gray. You can see the blue peaking through from the wheel hinges at 7:20. Same case of the grill like you pointed out, being casted in blue then painted over in red and silver.

Lucky that you got Studio Series 102 Optimus Prime. Too bad I couldn’t find this toy at my local Target in Fresno ,California nor Hasbro Pulse.

25:18 I didn't want to add this to my already very long comment but yiu transformed ROTB Optimus a little wrong. The panels yiu said look ugly next to the smokestacks rotate down and the little peg on Optimus' shin plugs into the groove on the panel. Just wanted to let you know.

I have the bmb version and plan to eventually get the rotb version just for the sake of having both and being able to compare the two and formulate my own opinion because the only place that has a clear cut objectively true answer to which one is better is the vehicle mode. However, from the looks of it, the rotb one has a lot of places where its slightly better, some places where its tied, and one or two places that are slightly worse, but the few places that are way worse are way worse. The rotb one also has some parts that confuse me, such as the hot rod shoulders, which never fail to bring endless huh??? factor when implemented on anyone that isn't hot rod, or how the entire back piece is blue plastic painted red. That, and I highly doubt that Hasbro was being truthful when they said that the windows and wheels were the only things yoinked from the bmb version.

That is why I like your review. Because you try to show the comparisons and in-depth review of these figures which other sometimes lacks to show. Keep it up man!! And awesome review again

Dang they both look awesome

The back of ss102 can be explained the figure was on a remold budget it was supposed to only be a slight remold of ss 38 but the designers sought to make it as close to the movie as possible so they compromised the on vehicle mode if they had a larger budget they prob would’ve made adjustments to the back of the truck that’s also why Primes axe comes with Primal

I don’t mind how the back of the truck is on the ss 102 it’s not the worst thing

I ended up getting the Black Mamba ko. Great job hasbro for making it exclusive, I hope the amount Target paid you makes up for the loss in sales.

Btw you can actually get an ab crunch on the bee one if you miss transform it a bit. But it is quite hard to do 😅

FYI, those panels that you said were pretty ugly on the ROTB truck mode actually l\flip down BEFORE YOU CLIP THE ARMS IN. The really do help to secure those shin panels into place.

I had a bit of trouble with getting SS 102. Because all the targets in my area suck, so I pre ordered it instead of getting it at retail. I was supposed to get it August 2-7 but because so many people ordered it, it got delayed to August 22, which is fine. When it was the 22nd, it was delayed again to the 29th, getting annoying now. When it was the 29th, it got cancelled for whatever reason
