If missing the green helps you with your game, I should be phenomenal by now 😑
  • @dexternewton
I think you should change your par 5 rules to: hit the green in 2 = no penalty - hit the green in 3 = penalty. This will encourage/reward courageous second shots and penalize you for conservative and crappy 2nd shots. This is a very interesting concept. It could make a very interesting competition too.

I've heard a lot of talk about "the right place to miss" but I've never seen anyone practice it before! Cool idea.

Brad was born to speak to a camera haha as someone who loves to hear details to help their own game Brad is a great watch

I didn't realize I was playing this game last time I played, but apparently I was 😂 Learning about good places to miss is very valuable for early season aiming points

So you're saying that I'm NOT supposed to play that game every Sunday!?!?! I thought that was the correct way to golf...

I'm 65 years old and have been playing g golf for 50 of those years! First time I have heard of this game. Great game to improve your short game and thinking around a golf course!

You should modify this game and do another video. Go for the flags. If you land within 8-10 feet of the hole play it out. If you don’t, you must place the ball off the green within 10 yards of the edge from the most difficult up and down spot you can find. You get rewarded for good shots but still get up and down practice.

Fun video, Brad. I understood the point and idea behind this challenge but I was having trouble following when you were "allowed" to hit the green, sometimes I thought it was based on par, but then you would talk about the yardage (for example it was 57 yds and you said it wasn't short game so you had to lay up). I think a better explanation at the start for all the rules would've helped because it seemed like a few rules evolved during the round.

You should use this as a way to handicap stroke play matches with Bubbie and Steve. Which Steve may still need a tee box or two still help 😉 lol

Hey Brad, I am willing to bet that me a 10 hcp can beat you at my home course if I play from the reds. I’m a member at Burnt Pine Golf Club and i genuinely think that course knowledge would allow we to be you straight up from the 5 tees. Look us up tho our course is really something.

Video idea based off this: playing golf like the average golfer. You can only hit x amount of fairways and greens in reg. Same concept as this just more trouble off the tee. Would be cool to see how you handle the different shots that we see every round and still be able to score.

I used to collect Scotty Cameron Tour putters. At events for collectors there was always a prize for lowest # of putts. This was the exact strategy used by everyone. Aim for the fringe in the spot you have the best chance for chip in. I won a TX event once with 14 putts for the round lol.

Love hearing the commentary and thought processes. I think about your style of course management most times I'm playing.
  • @kroosn
This is such a great concept.
