This song reminds me of my dad, he was an alcoholic and had been sober for awhile now but sadly died today.. the lyrics remind me of how he was trying to get his life back together to see me but now that he’s gone “this isn’t “goodbye” this is simply “see you later”” as in I’ll see him when it’s my time to rest. Edit, it’s 12/2/23 officially 2 years without him. I come see this lyric video every time I’m reminded of him rip dad<3

I fell in love with a girl in my college class when I first started there, we were best friends and she was so nice to me, I instantly felt comfortable around her, we spoke everyday, we always hung out, I found out she was in a bad relationship, which she later left, but before she did I told her I loved her, because that's what was happening the whole time, I was slowly falling in love with her. We started seeing each other, she told me she loved me on October 5th. I knew deep down things would never be perfect as her parents were extremely transphobic and I'm a trans man. But we didn't care, love was more important. I found out earlier tonight that her parents know that we're together and they have stopped her from seeing me. I really don't know how to cope. I hope it all works out OK, Reading other people's stories here make it seem more normal, but it hurts so much

My girlfriend broke up with me yesterday. Now I kinda get this song. That was my girl, my best friend. It was really a "Right person, wrong time" situation. Hopefully one day things will work out and we'll meet again. Until then, we just have to love each other from the distance. It's what's best.
