Your videos resonate so strongly with me. I practically killed myself getting a lead position, but only focused on technical skills and hard work. This led to a fallout with upper managers who have weak technical skills, and don't like getting their hands dirty. However they articulate well, and navigate masterfully through company culture. It's hard respecting managers who don't put in the technical work - I just can't do it. But I'll have to learn to play the game. Now the cat's out of the bag and the future is grim. Certain managers want me gone. You are so 100% correct articulation and relationship building returns higher yields.

Wholeheartedly agree with thisâŠthe most important skill in a corporate job given the amount of time we spend in teams, outlook and in-person meetings and collaboration

this is very true, there are certain words that I don't use anymore in meetings and in my report. Example is I stopped using the word 'problem' or 'hard' or 'difficult', but use the word 'challenge or challenging' instead. I have now learned that you need to have what I now call 'verbal-Jiu-Jitsu' â meaning you can masterfully articulate any conversation, such as how to safely navigate the streets of Nicaragua or El Salvador, or make persuasive arguments to people in C-Suites.

Great insights on the power of communication! đŹ Mastering the art of conveying ideas not only enhances critical thinking but also elevates one's ability to create, compete, and sell effectively.

Communication is Key đ to be an efficient leader, a further key would be all the different kinds of communication depending on the audience. What are the different and effective kinds if communications? Other than that, I agree that when selling something, ideally the product being sold is âfor them,â the clients, is just difficult to see sometimes that the âclientsâ choose a similar product but lesser value sometimes more expensive canât say cheap rather more economical. I guess that the conditioned communication channels lead the âclientsâ to purchase the same product of one way or another a lesser value, and that is what Iâm trying to understand, Dr. Grace. What would be possible reasoning for this kind of scenarios and behaviors? đ„°âšđ

We really should teach this in school!! Thank you this helps so much! â€đ God Bless

I understand and agree that effective communication is important. However, I have observed a relatively stable organisation fail because individuals who were perceived as 'good communicators' attained top positions. It is fair to say that while effective communication is crucial, competence is equally important.
