I love jewelry and have a lot in my collection. However, when I travel, I don't bring any except what I'm wearing and will wear it every day of the trip. Less hassle. That said, I often buy jewelry when I'm abroad. On my second trip to Greece, I bought a band with diamonds on three sides. I didn't know it was a wedding band until I got home. Fast forward to three years later. My then fiance told me that his parents had his mother's first engagement ring in the vault for him to give to his intended. Sight unseen, I loved the idea of a family heirloom. When he gave it to me, it actually matched the engagement ring!

An herb sachet is the fastest way to get pulled aside at TSA and the powder test with the dogs! Just use a scented dryer sheet and save yourself the TSA hassle.

Those packing cubes are so cool! The compression zipper addition is a gamechanger

Pro tip: use varying sizes of good quality delicates bags instead of packing cubes. No matter what, they will be cheaper, can be stuffed to achieve compression and you have delicates bags ready for any machine washing you might get to do. And I just use my phone notes instead of a post-it. Various lists: packing list, shopping list (for travel), to do list and a day-of-travel list (don't forget to put charging cords and adapters on there - I'm always using right up to last minute). The thermal waterbottle is particularly helpful when travelling in extreme cold - can make up a bottle of hot herbal tea to sip all day to help keep you warm

Great tips! I've seen so many of these items at our place and didn't know what they were for? 😂
  • I found your channel this week and love your content. You give tips and product suggestions no one else shares. Other channels repeat the same stuff. I leave for Europe in two weeks.
  • Write on re: Flying Avianca. Update: yes, they charge for checked bags ($55 ea way = $110 USD,) if purchased before flights. Avianca also is tight-fisted w/carry-on bags. Before trip price is $120 round trip 2 place in over head bins. I ❤your hacks, compression cubes are the bomb! Thank you. The “leave behind” items is another good hack IF they’re clothes in good condition & your camarera or housekeeper cd really use it for her nuera (DIL.) 🏄🏼‍♂️I’m pack😅ing 4 Avianca flight in 24 hrs for 28 days in Colombia. Attempting to Marie Kondo coordinating outfits & reminding myself I’m going 2 multiple beach cities where no one will know or care that I’ve worn capsule item several times. Last tip: do not pack brand new clothes, shoes you haven’t worn many times. It’s risky & careless to find new skirt is skratchy or new shoes cause blisters.

The plastic wrap for jewelry has been my go to for a long time. It is a game changer because I like necklaces and chains, and no matter what they would always get tangled, the straw trick was a pain in the butt and those jewelry cases never work to keep my necklaces from tangling. I just do the plastic wrap instead. It is perfect every time without any effort.

Oh the shoe organizer for kids clothes is a great idea, thanks! 😊👍
  • Great tips! here's another one for those clothes you would sacrifice for souvenirs, use those clothing items to pack your purchases to ship hoe. We bring some pre-printed shipping labels so that we can, if we need to, ship a box back home, which we have done. And we used clothing items we found we didn't need because of weather changes, ie. a heat wave in Paris in October!! We place a dryer sheet in our carry-on bag and put a few extras in a Ziplock bag so that we can replace them when the scent fades. Another liquid to replace with a solid is toothpaste tabs, they work great!! :)
  • Good day, I love your videos, they are very informative. I'll be flying for the very first time in a few months time, it'll be an international flight with 2 stops. Can you please create a video on flying for the first time, the whole process from entering the airport, checking in, how to find gates and plane seat, up to baggage claim. I would really appreciate.

APRO TIP when going through the security checkpoint: For electronics like laptops Phones or cameras it is always better to send them last through the screening.. if you send them first before you clear the security.. you might give a chance to someone to pick your item and leave
  • @Lhouse810
You hear about the woman who fainted at the baggage claim? She eventually came around
  • @missdonnav
Hello. I always want to pack and carry-on only but my problem is the weight limit on the carry-on. What do you do about that?
