  • It actually kind of makes sense that Boilmer would hate being stuck in his family’s farm. He works incredibly well as an efficient Cog but like he said to the titan crew, he joined star fleet because he loved exploring so him being stuck on the farm despite all the possible positives must truly infuriate him
  • Imagine if they said this: Mariner: you do know those girls were flirting with you, right? Boimler: oh, it's completely obvious. But if I get romantic with one of them, I'm stuck in this place forever!

Interesting. Boimler hates the family business so much, he is immune to flirting. Granted, he is immune to most flirting period.
  • Farm helper: Bradward let's dry these raisins more by smothering me with them and making HOT love. Boimler: you know that's not how we dry raisins just put them on the bricks!
  • Given how shaky, almost nonexistant the evidence against Freeman is, and the fact that Captian Gomez and the Vulcan Captian can attest to her whereabouts, makes me think the charges are some sort of S31 shennanigans and Boimlers logs wont help any.
  • This is a good showcase of how Lower Decks can have good characters and storytelling while lightening it up with comedy. And comedy which is less loud and bombastic compared to Season 1.

He hates the family business so much that he's associated all of it's workers with the same annoyance and disdain to the point he's completely oblivious to seemingly every female worker wanting to jump his bones. That's incredibly frustrating and also perfect comedy.
  • In Boimler's defence here: It's clear that he doesn't want to be there and that he doesn't like this work. He's just doing it because family and well, because he's Boimler. So he will treat any question about the grapes/would be raisins as work he just wants to be done with and he wont put more thought into it than he has do, meaning he wont pay attention to the flirting. These women try to flirt with him over the work, because it's the buisness of his family and because he happens to be good with such kind of work and assume it's something he would have interest in. They would have way better chances to get his attention if tried to talk about literally anything else
  • As a man I feel attacked, (yes we are this oblivious to flirting) but still God it hits to close to home. I think we all have stories of us just missing even the most blatant hints that someone is interested.

I love Marinner blown away by Boilmer's dedication to making logs when in the first scene of the opening episode, she made fun of it.
  • @Excalibur01
OMG they turned him into an anime harem protag

Lol imagine if Boimler is aware they’re flirting with him, but he ignores it because he knows if he has a relationship with them, then he’s stuck on his family’s farm forever.
  • I'm going to imagine this as a King Of The Hill situation when Bill went home and his brother's widows tried to seduce him but one was his cousin. Here Boimler doesn't know which one is his cousin.
