How to Waveshine - Super Smash Bros. Melee

You should almost always walk a little after each shine->wavedash. Didn't understand that at first so when people DI'd away, waveshining didn't work. There are cases when you don't need to walk e.g. when Peach/Link/Zelda DI's in or when the opponent SDI's in. But usually at mid-level play they'll just DI away and you probably don't have the furthest wavedash angle, so walking should work every time.

BTW inputting jump on the first 2 frames of shine will make it so you cant jump you need to press jump on the 3rd frame for jump to come out on frame 4 so you can jump out of shine to be frame perfect ALSO you can jump out of shine any time after this no matter how long you wait unlike what was said in the video you just need to input jump while holding B if you let go of B late into shine you start the animation that stops shine which wont let you jump out so you need to press X or Y on the same frame as B OR tap jump to get out.

Also, I recently found this out (but I'm stupid so most of you already know this) but if you hold x and hold up on the dpad it eliminates hitstun so every hit is a phantom or the equivalent to hitting a shield for 20xx 4.05
