London Bridge is probably the most famous landmark in Lake Havasu City. It was originally built in 1831 to span the River Thames in London England. However, by 1962 it was no longer sturdy enough to carry the increased volume of traffic in London. Entrepreneur Robert McCulloch purchased the bridge for 2.4 million and had it shipped over piece by piece to the United States and had it reassembled in the Mojave Desert. Once the bridge was constructed, a channel was dredged underneath it and the bridge opened in 1971.
Lake Havasu city has some beautiful parks, such as Rotary Park which is right on the shores of the Lake Havasu. Another great park is London Bridge Beach Park, which is located right along the famous Bridgewater Channel. For $4 round trip you can take a ferry from Lake Havasu City to Havasu Landing Resort and Casino on the California side of the reservoir. Ferry trips depart hourly, just north of London Bridge.

Just an added FYI: The Parker Dam is the deepest dam in the world. So, the region has two great sightseeing items...The London Bridge and Parker Dam. And the California side of the lake, is called Havasu Lake.

What a fun and exciting video showcasing all the amazing things to do in Lake Havasu City, Arizona! The crystal-clear waters of Lake Havasu and the iconic London Bridge were simply stunning, and I loved seeing all the different activities that the city has to offer. The Bridgewater Channel looked like a great place to hang out and enjoy the sunshine, and I was impressed by the variety of water sports available in the area. As a Cyclist from Switzerland, I really enjoyed watching this video and learning more about this hidden gem in Arizona. It definitely made me want to plan a trip to Lake Havasu City! Thanks for sharing this amazing experience with us.

Woah, talk about an oasis in the desert! It tickles me that they actually called this place London! I can tell you from experience it looks nothing like the UK's offering hahah! That being said in many ways its much more beautiful!

Hi Anita this was a fantastic place and the lake was so big ! Love that they took a bridge from London and set it up here :) London Bridge Park and Rorary Park both looked so nice and Parker Dam looked beautiful . Love that the city is on the Arizona/ Califo border and that 27 replica lighthouses are along it . This was great to see an the mountains there are beautiful:) ~ Anna
