Dublin Ireland is one of my favourite cities. The people are some of the kindest and most welcoming in the world with a wonderful sense of humour. Ireland has a fantastic spirit of hospitality and also amazing Guinness! However, over my last couple of trips I've noticed that the vibe on the streets is edgy and dangerous. There are homeless tent encampments appearing everywhere and the locals are very unhappy with the huge numbers of undocumented migrants arriving. Crime is rising - this is not the city I remember visiting years ago. What is going on in Dublin? Has Ireland's kind nature been exploited?

* Many thanks to ‪@bogtrotterErin‬ for showing me around and his knowledge on the current issues, and conversely to ‪@honestplaces‬ for his company yet complete lack of knowledge of historic and modern Ireland *

  • A country with a population as small as Ireland. Should never have been expected to take in migrants at replacement levels.
  • As I said on Colin's video , Irish people are called racist to shut down what we are saying. It's not as simple as that. There is tension which is getting to be unbearable but I refuse to be scared in my own city. I have a disability, and the way some non Irish people look at me is a problem. There is a cultural difference which needs to be acknowledged. Obviously, not everybody but it's a fact. Tension is high and cannot be ignored.

It's not complex. They are using the goodwill of the Irish against themselves.

Unfortunately, feeding immigrants, giving them cash, giving them jobs, giving them houses, is rather like feeding the Pigeons. Give one a tiny bit of your sandwich, there will soon be hundreds more demanding you hand over your entire lunch.
  • Kindness? No Irish people were asked if they wanted mass immigration. This all from the WEF and the WHO.

It's not racism, it's resentment, and rightly so.

That Crown Paints factory was a huge employer in Coolock, now they want to add insult to injury by housing full-on strangers there

Ireland never wanted this the people were never asked .

The scary thing about this, if an English man spoke about immigration like this, immediately deemed a racist. The world is fucked. The continent is fucked.

I'm an Irish native and can say it's been absolutely flooded with migrants since covid lockdowns ended, each and every town across the country, my little hometown in the middle of nowhere in Donegal I had never seen a non Irish person there growing up, even up to 2022 you'd see practically none, now suddenly 10-20% of the population have become random foreigners from incompatible countries that don't integrate and have already started outbreeding our locals, can only possibly see it being an Islamic town by 2050, incredibly frustrating being forced to watch my hometown so quickly and intentionally destroyed.

We never wanted this , The country is in ruins🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
  • Indigenous Irish are in danger of becoming a minority in their own country if something is not done to stop this invasion. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 🇬🇧

Arrived in Ireland 7 year ago to study English. Worked, paid taxes, bought a house, pay my taxes and all my duties to this country that took me with kindness. I am an immigrant myself but can say that the country is completely different from when I arrived. Feel sorry for Irish people, the situation is terrible. If you go to some places, you forget that you are in Ireland. Things need to be regulated, and some stuff stopped completely. Ireland needs to look after Irish people first, immigrants that pay taxes and work legally next and the people exploring this country should be left in the bottom of the list.
  • I’m a Dubliner but have lived out of Ireland working for 15 years now - currently home here for a holiday and I’m absolutely SHOCKED at the state of our once great country. I’ve been welcomed into a number of different (mainly Muslim) countries and treated so so well there, so I can promise you none of this is driven by Islamophobia or any kind of racism. We are being fleeced because of our good nature and our government has decided to open our doors so widely that there might as well be none. I’m very saddened and can safely say I will probably never be back to live in the country of my birth 😢 RIP Ireland 🇮🇪
  • There is an old saying up in the Appalachians where I live: "Don't mistake my kindness for my weakness." Make sure people understand the threat beneath that statement. Be kind but be strong and when people take advantage of your kindness, show them the strength from which that kindness flowed.
  • The approach of 'take in whoever turns up, with no consideration for how it'll effect the native population' has to stop.

the real question is who is coaching these people to get around the system.
