Vanuatu has a huge linguistic and cultural diversity for its population size.
  • @MasonVis
Ahhh, Vanuatu. As an Australian, this will always be my favourite holiday destination.
  • @TOSLOVER
I think Vanuatu's flag is actually pretty good. it's underated
  • @NobleCubes
As an Australian, it is super easy to get to so a lot of aussies go there for vacation. Just like Americans go to caribbean islands due to proximity.

Vanuata 🇻🇺 is a lovely country with loving people living there.❤️
  • @PurestBollocks
Living on the east coast of Australia, been fortunate to visit this beautiful country a number of times. But my most recent trip was cancelled due to a cyclone, classic Vanuatu. The people are amazing, the snorkeling is off the scale, the island scenery is stunning and... They actually grow amazing coffee. It's a fantastic country

I'm not sure if anyone is gonna see this but kinda still wanna post it here. It was in 2010 at Shanghai's World Expo. Me, an elementary schooler, and my mom were wandering around at the "Pacific Countries United Pavillion", and we bumped into the Vanuatu section in the very corner. It was a small place with only some pictures of the country and very few visitors, compared to some larger sections with fancy animal specimen. And only two staffs were there, one Vanuatuan and one Chinese assistant. They saw us walking into their section, and passionately handed a bag of gifts to me. I expressed my gratitude, but I didn't stay in that section or even talk to them. However, when I returned home, I discovered with surprise that there were a full set of fish postal stamps, a banner of their national flag, and a little book introducing their country. I felt guilty for not even talking to them, listening to their intro, or maybe just exhibit more curiosity. I started learning by myself more about the country, and have always wanted to visit the country. I just want to let the Vanuatuan girl at Shanghai Expo 2010 know that she has spread very positive image into a Chinese boy's heart, and let anyone from Vanuatu know that you have a friend who's passionate about your country in China. Thank you!

Fun fact: Espirito Santo island once almost became a free country with american backing under the name of Vemerana with a cool blue-green flag that almost led to a small scale civil war...

I am a Taiwanese that now live in Fiji now. Although never been to Vanuatu, and it’s far away from Taiwan. I heard something( mostly about sharing the Kava culture together) about it when I am in Fiji, and I feel so interest about it. Thanks for introducing such a beautiful country. ❤🇻🇺

It’s crazy how much comfort and nostalgia that little jingle brings me. It makes me feel happy and cozy

I've been dreading the Venezuela episode for years now... I trust Barbs will do justice to our most recent history
  • @kitcutting
The closer it gets to Zimbabwe the stronger the feeling of dread. I’ve been with Geography Now since the ‘C’ countries were being uploaded and it now saddens me to see it so close to ending
  • I love Vanuatu! Port Vila is apparently where all the Aussies go if they don't want to go to New Zealand 😂 It's definitely well worth the trip!
  • @planningto
Not only have I heard of Vanuatu, my aunt and uncle used to live there. While they were there, there was a massive typhoon (I think in the 80s or 90s) and their house was destroyed around them. They survived by huddling in a small cupboard, which was the only bit of the house left still standing. Very dramatic.
  • Love Vanuatu from Philippines, fellow Austronesian country 🇵🇭❤🇻🇺
