Mat has got his hands on one of the most luxurious cars he’s ever reviewed - the all-new Lexus LM!
It’s an all-new MPV from Lexus, and Mat is about to find out if this luxurious people carrier has what it takes to compete with top-class saloons such as the Mercedes S-Class or BMW 7 Series.
When it comes to the design, there isn’t much to say about the rear or sides. It comes with smatterings of chrome about the place, along with a rear spoiler, but otherwise, this people carrier is relatively boxy and nondescript. However, once you step around to the front, you’re greeted by Lexus’s trademark HUGE grille! This helps make it super imposing on the road, and it also comes flanked by high-tech matrix LED headlights.
The interior quality for the driver is pretty decent. There’s lots of leather throughout the cabin, as well as a large infotainment screen and digital dial display. There’s a fairly decent amount of interior storage, too, and the seats are incredibly comfortable.
However, step into the back and you'll find that comfort is absolutely next level. We’ve got our hands on the range-topping Takumi edition, which comes with just two business class-style seats. There’s a huge screen that spans the length of the cabin, coupled with several speakers, including two huge speakers built into each door! The seats can recline fully flat, window shades are built in, and there is absolutely loads of storage! This is truly the way to travel in first-class style on the road.
When it comes to the engine choice, there’s only one. It’s a 2.5-litre 4-cylinder engine that comes with a CVT gearbox as well as an electric motor. There is the option to add an additional electric motor to offer four-wheel drive, but interestingly, both the single motor and dual motor offer 250hp!
The Lexus LM isn’t cheap. It starts from £90,000, raising to £113,000 for the range-topper! So is it worth it? You’ll need to stick with Mat and see for yourself!

When I was young Japanese MPVs were the family vehicle of choice. SUV kids don't know what they're missing out on.

If I had one of those, everyone would need to take their shoes off before I let them in.

This is the S Class of Southeast Asia
-
I think the reason why the heated seat is not hot enough it’s because this car is mostly marketed in Asia, Asia and especially SouthEast Asia its pretty hot and we like to get cold.
-
the fact he put the cup holder as an annoying feature shows how good the LM actually is 😂
-
I think all Toyota and Lexus cars with smart entry have a small metal key inside the key fob which you can be used to open the driver door when the battery is dead, so there's no need to become a middle aged spider man to open the boot.

There is a hidden keyhole under door handle, so you can open the front door using the regular key which is in the remote.

The attention to detail shows in the opening and closing of the windows - always has and always will fascinate me; especially because they do that throughout THE WHOLE LINEUP 😮🤩

this car is only recently being launched in where I live, and with a staggering price to match, yet I already seen plenty of these being driven around on my commute to & from work, it shows what a right choice for Lexus to invests in these type of luxury barge
