Kuda is remorseful and from the way he told his story, you can see that he would go back and do things differently if he could. I pray for him that his family and the deceased and his family can find it in their hearts to forgive Kuda. Yes he is serving 18 years in prison but at the end of the day he has to live with what he has done for the rest of his life, that's a life sentence.
