I mostly do cons in TX but I'd like to branch out in the future, and if there's a con you'd love with a good artist alley, let me know and I may apply for it! I also tell folks this on stream sometimes, but if you REALLY want me to be at a con near you, the best thing to do is ask the con to invite me as a guest! I love to run panels about making comics and other art topics, and getting invited as a guest makes it WAY easier for me to make a trip to a con I wouldn't normally attend! Sorry it was such a hassle getting there. I didn’t know you were going to be there until your insta post and I was over the moon. You were so nice and was generous enough to look over my webcomic which I really appreciate (and took your advice). Easily a highlight for my trip

Always call places. When I got exposed two years ago I called the hotel and they didn’t charge me when I explained my situation. Years ago my dad had a media emergency and I called southwest. Told them as such. Full refund. Just an fyi if it ever happens again. Call the airlines or hotels and just explain. Ps I also caught covid from a con. Phoenix. 🙃 worst experience ever.

D'aaaw oh noo! So this may be superfluous and please disregard if so, but I just hit minute 11:20. So my preferred way of dealing with panic attacks? Therapist approved and recommended? Lean into the madness. I know it sounds counter-intuitive AF, but fighting the panic sensations does little for me, so I've done better just leaning into the discomfort and (trying as best I can to) accept that internally I'mma just a bit of a mess in those moments.

i used to got to holmat. last time i went was in 2019 before the whole pandemic and i was gonna go last year but i ended up moving so i wasnt able to go but it nice you went as an artist. from what i remember the holiday inn across from the convention used to be a nickelodeon theme park which is why it so run down etc. it was the first place i stayed at when i first went to holmat back in 2016.

Speaking as a Texas native who lives in Austin and grew up in a town an hour north of Austin... You're in Killeen or Temple area. I've also lived in both of those areas lol. Also, your mom is so cute! Why is she afraid of the cat bus?? Cat bus is our friend... Also I can't stop thinking of the Kidz Bop version of videogame music that was blasting in the pool area. How beautiful. I'd love to see a Kidz Bop album that covers anime music. Get some 12 year old from Ohio to sing Marissa Stole the Precious Thing and some Naruto openings. Maybe throw in Caramell Dansen for fun. It'd be the only Kidz Bop album I'd buy tbh.

furry here! I thought that hour break for the dealers was like. extremely common? if a furry convention doesn't have that hour break, its a massive complaint from dealers in the dealers den! (basically artist ally) so hearing it isn't common in anime/comic cons is so weird to me! Do better conventions!!
