Iโ€™m sure I speak for many when I say that your commentaries on chess matches are such a delight to listen to. Your analyses on variants are just perfect, not too short not too long and easy to follow. Keep up the good work. All the best.

One thing I'm learning from ur vids is thee power of pawn sacrifices, not only to break up opponents pawns but to free that square for knight and piece jumps

It's much more interesting seeing Magnus against lower rated players rather than the top 20 he usually plays. He obviously doesn't prep much for them and is happy to go for any game. But these kids don't give a f and are happy to go all in to try and win. I like their style!

It's amazing. Magnus wins event after event the past few months and business as usual. Loses a game and draws another then BAM people saying he's broken and gonna retire. Granted those events were not always classical formats, but regardless, the short term memory/getting caught in the hype is astounding

I cannot believe the pressure Magnus needs to handle. With low-rated players, his points don't increase much but if he loses, he loses lots of points. Your analysis is top-notch. Thanks so much.

You are on FIRE James with all these quality uploads, never miss a beat mate ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Magnus sac the rook to force a draw, and I thought it was a desperado to postpone checkmate. hats off to Pranesh playing a legendary game ๐Ÿ‘
  • @stephenr80
Tough matches. Looks like Magnus likes to try weird openings but those kids are fire.
  • @peterhaslund
Honestly Mag is tiring of all these computer lines, so he sidesteps as early as possible, but the drawbacks are clear. Even weak opponents get clear opportunities and Mag is forced to scramble for a draw

It's really great to see the young players from the '00s and ''10s shine. ๐ŸŒŸ

The courage of young Indian GMs is astounding. They arenโ€™t afraid to fight the GOAT of chess.
  • @KNNY61
I predict Magnus will retire. He just doesn't want to Plat tons of theory anymore... it bores him. But these guys are getting too good for him to play anything suboptimal.
  • @todesque
One of the best games Iโ€™ve ever seen. Terrific commentary as always!
  • Fantastic fight indeed, these incredible youngsters! Another beautiful recap by epic chess ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’ฏ

F or at time watching. Thoroughly enjoyed and subbed. Cheers
  • phew, close one for Magnus, fighting back like a wounded animal. Good play by Pranesh, and good recap.
  • @watteau6646
For Pranesh to know he had to do something extreme at that point shows good judgement, because Magnus was going to grind him down with the rook, knight and Q invasion. Great fight!
  • @seanmacdude
This game was a great struggle, really enjoyed it
