It's almost like the general public doesn't want over priced, low quality, crappy range cars loaded with unreliable electronics 🤔
-
It fucking floors me how incompetent NY's leadership is
-
People who live in New York City, can’t have an EV because there’s nowhere to park a car and they don’t have a place to plug it in
-
People were buying those vehicle on a promise of future improvements that never came. Naturally people are getting tired of paying for promises.
-
If it is good, no one needs to force it on people
-
It was recently reported that 60% of Americans couldn't get their hands on $400 in an emergency, and yet we are expected to cough up 30-40+ thousand dollars for an EV
-
Nobody talks about resale. Resale for evs is a huge issue. After 8 years on a battery, there is a significant loss in range, and a new battery cost almost as much as the car. Where is the resale in that?
-
From $61k now discounted to $37k (on Fisker's website), what a freaking scam of an industry.
-
When the gov't forces car manufacturers to force EVs on consumers you get this disaster.
-
I do not want an EV.
-
"Even in NYC"? It's one of the worst places to own an EV because we don't have private garages like in the suburbs, and on-street parking is horrible here.
-
Charging stations in parking basements is a fire risk.

"Nobody wants to admit the more you force an incompatible product on society, the more people will find out how bad it is and find everything in their power to avoid getting stuck with one". THIS!!!!! So eloquently put.
-
The best thing you can do for the environment, is keep your old car on the road for as long as possible

The fact that the government is forcing EVs is my main reason I hate them.

Retired teacher here. A few decades ago, my district decided to use a math curriculum that had no textbooks. YAY! Massive savings! Let's adopt it for all the grade levels! The problem was that since there were no student textbooks, the teacher had to Xerox each day's worth of material for every single student. So the money they saved by not having textbooks was instead spent on copy paper, toner and clicks. Not to mention all the additional wear and tear on the copiers. As the school year progressed, it became very painfully obvious that the district had made a horrible decision that ended up costing far more then what they saved. That program only lasted a year before it was scrapped. I see the same mind set with EV. And I see the same outcome heading our way. Personally, I think the government already knows this EV thing is heading south fast and right before those mandates kick in, there will be legislation passed very quickly and quietly to push it back a few years. Then, when we still can't meet the timelines, the whole thing will be scrapped. Anyone else remember the great metric conversion attempts?

I’m keeping my 10 year old Corolla, thank you very much.

I like gas vehicles, I still have a 1993 Ford that gets 40mpg and runs awesome still. Dont fix stuff thats not broken.
-
EV sales have fallen by 70% here in the UK. No one wants them.

"Its probably not gonna happen, if it does happen, it will be very unlikely" Genius, pure genius.
