You have a man dressed up as Batman cleaning up trash with a broom and you don't even talk to him.

"looting because of hunger" shows food smashed on the ground with people leaving with designer clothes and tvs lol

South African here. These riots were the last straw for me. Not long after I took my family and emigrated. It has been difficult but there hasn't been one day where I've regretted my decision to move

Imagine rioting because of Zuma who everyone know is the biggest and most corrupt politician for decades. The man had like 20 houses and 500 mistresses and did nothing for SA and people are protesting on his behalf! Really!!
  • The irony of the poor protesting on behalf of the guy who literally took the food off their tables.

This is what happens when you let people run a country who have no idea.

"Motivated by hunger and unemployment"...why steal a fridge if you have nothing to put in it?
  • @Canaris
Everybody: Riots against politicians that are corrupt South Africa: Riots because a corrupt politician is being investigated

This is what I imagined a dystopian apocalypse would look like as a kid
  • If you want to see a real face of someone, just give them the freedom to do whatever they want. Period.

The private security force looks more professional than the real South African police.

Lets not forget 38 schools were also burned to the ground. What this has to do with "hunger" is beyond me.

Blaming apartheid for this is just unreasonable. Apartheid has now left South Africa for nearly 50 years, race has nothing to do with it.
