Discovering good music by yourself has to be the best feeling ever

Six years ago today I nearly died from a rare blood disorder. It left me paralyzed and in a wheelchair. Doctors warned that I'll probably never walk again. I used to listen to this song everyday to help me through the depression. Six years later, I am walking and still jamming this! I could never forget this song. Whoever is reading this, don't give up. Keep going, keep grinding. You can do it. It's going to be ok! NEVER GIVE UP! 😭💚✊🏾

Am I the only person who gets Nostalgia from all of Abra’s music? It’s like her lyrics and songs and videos bring back memories that I’ve never ever had but it feels deep.. idk maybe I’m just tripping😂

I have an unhealthy obsession with this song

I've listed to this song for years. When I listen to this song, its basically a metaphor that women are the forbidden fruit. When men deny the feminine divine, it ends up driving them crazy. Voices in the head, constant overthinking etc. the more power that women have. The more this guy resists the more power she gets like the actual serpent with adam and eve. One thing about them tables, is that they always turn.

Abra’s music always eats. I can’t believe it’s been 8 whole years since this was posted 🤯❤️‍🔥
  • these girls are so brave and killing the music game with their magic being half black makes me proud. FKA twigs, abra, SZA, Asiahn, ella mai, nao, kehlani, rainy milo, jorja, aluna George, Rihanna, Syd, Doja cat, lion babe, kelela, alina baraz black girls have intoxicating musical power! just amazing! screw the radio! its real music being played

It’s 2024, I’m 26 now, and can still say this is one of the most beautiful songs ever made.

FKA twigs, NAO and her are giving me such feels, these black women inspire me so much! I'mma take singing classes too lol Update ; Update : It's been 5(?) months and I sang songs by Snakehips, SZA and Ta-ku etc. I apparently do have something in my voice and have capacity to grow. I have to stop being so insecure about my low voice and just make mistakes when singing high notes ( which according to my teacher I can reach. ) I just wanna say nothing's impossible nor are you too late or too old 😊
