The issue with AC is clearly the intent behind it. While it is true that they always took liberty with historical figures in the game, those weren't the main character. AC protagonists always were fictional LOCAL people who happened to interact with real (but non accurate) historical events and figures. So even if Yasuke being samurai was completely real (seems not to be the case), that wouldn't change the fact that for this game, for the first time, they went out of their way to find a foreigner to play as somehow local. If Yasuke, albeit being historically irrelevant, was in the game as a secondary character, the way Leonardo was in Ezio's games, I doubt most people would have cared one way or the other. But they put him front and center, they wanted this pseudo-real guy to be the protagonist. We played as a middle-eastern (Altair), as an Italian (Ezio), as a native American (Connor), as an Egyptian (Bayek), as a Greek (Alexios), as a Viking (Eivor), etc. Being diverse has never been the issue in the series. The issue is we see through their bs. They say they loved so much the idea of making a game about Japan, but clearly they didn't like as much making it about Japanese people... (went too long, but I'm particularly mad at this one 😂)

I can't believe none of them know who CDawgVA and IronMouse are. Conner (CDawgVA) was the auction host, and does a TON of work for charity, and like IronMouse is a pretty big streamer. Claudia Moneta donated the money to charity, which means it's a write off, and now gets to collab with three streamers who have well-over 1,000,000 subscribers, and with any luck will get to join their circle of friends. With that said, so long as each collab can essentially earn her $23,000, she'll break even, and chances are she might even get a sponsorship or two out of this. It's a gamble, but it's also a fairly smart gamble, especially if $70,000 isn't going to break her bank.
