  • A lot of people keep asking about the pricing of this basement. We decided to break it down in detail for you. This basement is more complex than most and there are a lot of bells and whistles that are included in this basement that you would not need in finishing a basement this size. We use this as a show room. With that being said, I will break down the pricing below. Basement is 2,700 square feet. The general contracting work for the basement was $60,000, including all design, framing for all rooms, sheetrock, finishing, electrical, plumbing, painting, and all other general contracting work. There is another $50,000 in custom millwork throughout the basement. This is including the staining of this custom millwork. Our staining was not done by a painter, it was done by a professional furniture finisher. This is for the custom millwork throughout the basement including the bar, home theater, molding, etc. The home theater A/V package including the projector screen and all equipment was approximately $15,000. Again, all of these items can be done for much cheaper depending on what the customer wants. Tile flooring throughout the entire basement including the bathroom and shower area was $15,000. The carpet and gym mat flooring was $4,000. The sauna and steam room was $9,000. In this basement we also installed an HVAC damper system, along with relocating all the duct work to create nice tray ceilings. The cost for this was $10,000. We added an exterior walk out entrance including brick pavers and doors for $15,000. Again, this basement is used as a showroom and a basement of the same size can be finished beautifully for much less than this basement. We just wanted to pin this comment here for everyone asking!

A very beautiful basement. I especially love that the DVDs, cords etc, are hidden away in the media room, it keeps the place very tidy.

That basement has a great layout. I'd swap the salon for a cigar lounge, but that is just personal preference.
