This series is hard to find and isn't really on shelves anymore, but it's a must for people who love slice of life--especially when that slice of life dips so neatly into other genres.
Note: There is a newer 2-episode set of OVAs called Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou: Quiet Country Cafe. You can find those elsewhere on YouTube as well.

久しぶりに2021年に見てますが… 今はこんなゆったり進行のアニメはOVAであっても商業的になかなか成立しづらいと思います。いい時代でしたね。

Just watched the OVA for the first time but man this really got me thinking about the slow ass days back when I was a kid in the Philippines. Hot, slow AF, amazing sunets. But since now im in NY which is like the total opposite. Super nostalgia inducing man.

I find it eerie that she always has a gun nearby. It implies that there is something about this world that the audience doesn't know and that's pretty freaky

Somehow the way that the camera cord gives her chills makes her feel more human than a lot of other anime (or even live action) characters. What genius writing it is!

loved the way they show time passing from the sky to the wind to the colours and lights, the fish thing, the water drying up.. the never ending hot summer afternoon that eventually fades to a pale evening and a night that always leaves you a little melancholic when youve spent a day not doing much
