People can HATE on SID!!!…. But he NAILED IT!!!! For those who understand this organization “ They are still a GOOD TEAM”.
  • @RayDickson
When I die, I'm going to have six maple leaf pallbearers, so they can let me down one final time.

Sid you nailed it. This is The Dallas Cowboys in the NHL when it comes to wanting to win, but not willing to 'go for it' to win.
  • 110%. This is exactly what I was thinking….tell Marner he’s sitting in the press box if he doesn’t give up his no trade….and all the other things you mentioned.

Sid knows hockey this man speaks the truth. Why is Shanahan still here? Keefe?

Losing to CBJ in 2020 is an indication change is needed. Blowing a 3-1 series lead to Montreal in 2021 solidified that changes are needed. It’s never too late to change though.

100% agree, Sid. However, I’d keep Bertuzzi and Domi as well.

When the Leafs lost game7, I felt nothing. Nothing. We've all become so numb to this that it doesn't bother us any more. And THAT is the real indictment of this team. This is new - in previous years we were crushed. Flattened. We have now reached a point where we can't get any flatter, so to speak. If real change doesn't happen this summer I really can't see fans getting excited about next year when they know it will be more of the same.

I'm hearing marner wasn't available for post game interviews because his dad was late getting to the dressing room to untie his skates.
  • @prashizzle
I'd keep Knies, woll, McMann, Nylander and Matthews

Bertuzzi , Domi , and a few more were WORKHORSES FOR THE LEAFS . GO BRUINS !!🎸👊🏼

To add to Sid’s point regarding the Raptors and moving DeRozen after the 2018 season, Dwayne Casey was 2018 coach of the year but same as DeRozen another elimination at the hands of James was not accepted. A million years ago the Jays did something uncomfortable when they shipped out beloved players Tony Fernandez and Fred McGriff because simply winning a division was no longer good enough, the return was Alomar and Carter and the rest is history. Sad thing is this organization doesn’t even have to come close to winning a cup to be considered successful, a couple runs to the conference final would be huge after 8 yrs of the same formula failing, try something, anything, just make it different from this BS.

The fans are partially to blame, if you see the team changing nothing and still buy tickets, you are part of the problem I'm a Habs fan and I remember a time when it seemed they didn't care if we were winning or losing because they sold out every time - then attendance dropped and someone WOKE up! If the fans feel the team doesn't care - why should the fans support them?
  • @dizk8488
They don't even have a "good" team. A good team doesn't go 1-9 in playoff series. They haven't even sniffed the 3rd round and got embarassed the only time they made it to the 2nd round. Regular season metrics are meaningless when this team gets nothing done in the playoffs.
  • @arthurau9231
Leafs were going to lose to the Bruins in 7 or get crushed and blown out by the Panthers in 4.
  • @jarsenaultj
Why would they make changes? The Leafs are one of the most successful NHL franchises financially despite being a gong show on the ice for decades.
  • @billshogun7068
What fans are forgetting is that Detroit,Buffalo,Montreal and other teams are getting better every year and pretty soon the leafs are going to be life and death to make the playoffs. It wasn’t too long ago this team went many years not making the playoffs and don’t think that it can’t happen again!
  • Your right sid these are like the Ballard days he didn't care he was making money.
  • @saltonan8753
Sid is 1000% correct! I was a Leaf fan from 1970 till they screwed up a 3-1 series lead to Montreal. At that point i threw away any Leaf memorabilia i had and said enough is enough, they aren’t worth my valuable time or money, haven’t watched a minute of any Leaf game since, and I suggest you all do the same, your life will be very much improved

Excellent job Sid …best comments I’ve seen so far …
