The ATGames console was an actual officially licensed product. They used to make alot of Sega emulation machines.

I just find it so funny that the Sega/Nintendo bootleg anime has actually Sonic voice actors in, Mike Pollock voices Marcus and Guligi 💀
  • Tbh I'd be interested in seeing a modern version of... not exactly World War Blue but something similar to it with something based on how the video game industry right now. With how many companies these days are making micro transactions more prominent in games, I could see the villain being some sort of overly greedy organization charging people for every tiny little thing they do or something. Not to mention with Indie Games becoming alot more popular in recent years, that would make for a perfect underdog protagonist!
  • So they live in 2193 and can't fix the dinosaurs until a machine is made in the year 2097?

Fun fact, the AtGames consoles were all officially licensed. The Genesis Mini was originally meant to also be done by AtGames. However Sega saw the quality and said forget it bud, we'll just do it ourselves.
  • The Genocide City in the actual Simon Wai proto is an empty stage. You showed a fan version from a hack. I love your videos but they're peppered with these tiny details that show a lack of research.

From the anime, the character "Miyamoto" you're identifying as Marth...his outfit looks a lot more like Erdrick from the Dragon Quest series, one of the most iconic playable characters of the RPG genre.

The spin dash shooting move in the second game looks very similar to the Homing Shot from Sonic Frontiers

23:53 Dang... I get sega is known now a-days for making tails a laughing stock but he didn't deserve to be killed off in episode 1!
  • Honestly, if World War Blue had kept going, I genuinely do think I wouldve watched the whole thing, it just seems like a really fun concept and honestly at this point, other anime like Kill la Kill have just made me immune to nudity. Also, Link saying ''It's dangeroud to go alone, take THIS!'' goes soooo hard

Thank you for continuing the bootleg videos, Conner. I'm more of a Mario mark, but this is excellent content.

18:00 this game actually looks a lot like a predecessor to Freedom Planet. Also the moveset of Sonic/Sparkster is pretty much the same as Lilac the Dragon.

I remember playing that Sonic game for SNES when I had a computer disk that housed an SNES emulator and had a SHIT ton of roms. I didn't know it was a bootleg
  • 0:44 13:35 15:46 Actually, it’s just an empty void. Originally, Genocide City was going to be a zone with one act, but was cut and repurposed for act 3 of Metropolis Zone. If it would’ve been in the game, it would’ve been called Cyber City Zone. And Hidden Palace Zone was originally going to be a level that Sonic would be teleported to after getting all of the Chaos Emeralds, and you would’ve had to beat the level to unlock Super Sonic. And Wood Zone was going to be the present version of Casino Night Zone. Apparently, time travel would’ve been in the game, leading to a ton of more zones that were planned to be in the game, but the time travel mechanic ended up being scrapped. 18:00 Sonic commits mass genocide in “Sparkster” 19:22 Sonic rescues Mario(s) from the Virtual Boy realm 20:17 The Rescue of the First Hostage 20:53 F u c k 38:50 Yeah, it sucks. I t s u c k s M r . B a l l s !

27:06 I'm pretty sure Sega and Nintendo put their differences aside to take this down asap.
  • Sonic 7 and Sonic Blast (Bootleg) literally shaped my childhood. I was REALLY into bootlegs when I was a child. It's fun to see a bunch of Chinese or Taiwanese devs take a game and completely change it into something it isn't. When I hear that absolutely EAR WRENCHING screeching of that Sonic Blast intro, I hear my literal childhood flashing in front of me.
  • In that Fighter Sonic bootleg you need to press Up and the Jump button at the same time to jump higher. Also another tip, Mashing B will allow you not only shoot projectiles but also stay in the air while shooting the projectiles, doing this trick helps you advance in the levels pretty easily in the game especially the cloud platform section in the first level that a lot of people have/had trouble with.

Never heard of this anime before, but now I have to watch it.

World War Blue is, sadly, an example of an awesome concept which fails to live up to its potential in execution, at least as far as the anime goes. Plus, Hyperdimension Neptunia is more-or-less the same concept done right.
