  • Shannon is the hardest working, most reliable hockey journalist on the interwebs .... easily deserves a job on any major hockey sports network IMO!
  • Honestly, I'm just happy that the Oilers are a playoff team at all. Obviously I would love for them to go on a deep run, but the fact that they are now seen as a consistent playoff team is such a massive change from the decade of darkness lol.
  • @sassellfrass
that hit of serotonin I get every time Shannon hits me with a "welcome back"
  • I've been watching Shannon since the 2017 expansion draft. I was so happy to find a hockey youtuber that talked in depth about the league and all teams. As well as his jersey collection videos, and power rankings. He's been my favorite YouTube for 4 years. Keep up the great work Shannon! All your support is so well deserved.

Yamamoto (in the games i saw) busted his ass every time he was on the ice but seemed to be absolutely snake bitten. Hopefully he can have a good breakout season next year

I love the content but one thing I always chuckle at is when the proverbial “McDavid will want to leave without blah blah blah”, is why was this label never applied to the likes of MacKinnon, Stamkos, Ovechkin, Matthews, Marner, Price, Barkov and so on. Those players have either never won or took a decade to win so why is McDavid seen as this guy who will run away from a challenge as if he’s the Lebron James of the NHL looking to win by jumping aboard another franchise. Can’t understand it, lol

I am now a believer that Shannon has cloned himself.

Nice! waited for this. I think the Oilers will go further than most expect them to go
  • 3:53 "...there's a lot of debate about the job that ken holland has done putting that team together, but: -- the regular season numbers would tell you that ken holland is gonna be around for a while ... " - based!
  • @rtisi
Thanks for doing these. Especially in this time of year.
  • @DiabloManiacz
Luca Munzenberger just HAS to make it in to the NHL. That would be amazing for years to come :D

All the best Edmonton. It's nice to see their improvement. Many teams don't make the playoffs and I'm glad that Edmonton will be there.
  • Ryan is a great character player and should do well in Edmonton . He will be missed in Calgary .
  • @OilersHD97
Missed Hyman from new faces! Most important addition!

The Edmonton Oilers are due for another Stanley Cup run. Connor McDavid is getting there and close to a Stanley Cup. I just have high hopes he doesn't suffer from too much heartbreak like Ovechkin did before winning it all. Setting McDavid aside Edmonton makes the playoffs in 2nd or 3rd overall in Pacific and then a possible run to "Final Four" or if everything goes their way a Stanley Cup Final appearance

Duncan Keith can still play a lot of minutes and he rarely get hurt. Of course that could change this season but don’t count him out. He’s a proven winner. And a good leader in the locker room. Should be interesting.
