Lemmy was devastated when Phil died. He was an amazing drummer & a truly unique character, with an incredible sense of humour.

Phil Taylor in his days was one of the best drummers around. Underrated however. Thanks for the upload!

I saw him with two drop dead ladies before a show. He enabled my hang over without even asking for anything. Never made into the show. Took a decade to finally enter a Motorhead show successfully.
  • I actually met Phil in his home village of hasland with his sister, total gentleman, she took a photo of us, still got R.I.P.
  • Absolute legend seen him with Motorhead 10 times fantastic drummer one of my musical heroes RIP thanks for the memories

They don’t make them like that no more… legend
  • He was amazing, a total force of nature, he had swing, groove and a naughty drumming spirit, I mean, listen to the groove he lays down on the On Parole version of Iron Horse, tremendous, aye, Phil was so good, I honestly think bands were scared of him, hence he never got more work, he should have, he was an incredible drummer, all his work is amazing, Another Perfect Day was an immense lesson in how to sit behind a drum kit, and batter the life out of it, such a special man, a complete nutter, but a wonderful nutter. God love ye Phil, you changed drumming mate, totally changed it, way ahead of your time.
  • The man literally invented thrash metal drumming. RIP Phil & PLAY LOUD in Valhalla.
  • Legend. Used to drink in the same pub just off Harrow Road in London. RIP Phil ✌
