Today I took my very first trip out to the Universal Studios water park known as Volcano Bay! As someone who has been well over 300 pounds the last few years I purposefully avoided visiting this water park because of the weight limits on the water slides. Today we finally pay for a day ticket and take a closer look at what we could and could not ride in this water park if you're over weight or fat.

I really love your honesty and transparency. You are one of my favorite Orlando bloggers. I was 6'2" 340 about 18 months ago. Now I am down 240. I say that to say keep working on the weight loss!

Itā€™s cool and brave of you to make these videos! Itā€™s really helpful for your ā€œpooh sizedā€ fans especially those who are more self conscious about trying and possibly being turned away/having to do the walk of shame. Been there, done that, got the plus size t-shirt. Keep up the great work - videos and healthy living!
  • Thank you thank you thank you for making this video. As someone who used to weigh 300 pounds and lost 100 pounds specifically for theme parks...I appreciate you. No matter what your motivation, this video is appreciated. Proud of you!

As someone near 280, I love this man. I haven't been on a coaster in like, a decade, but I went with family last year to a waterpark and was shocked I could go on slides. I had so much fun and loved it so much. Water slides have become my alternative to coasters. Sucks, but what can you do

$16 a day for a locker?! Daylight robbery
  • I went to Universal and Volcano Bay for the first time earlier this month with my family. I weigh around 250 and completely enjoyed myself! There were other pooh sized people there so I didn't feel too self conscious. I have never been thin and I have been trying to lose weight my entire life. At this stage I am focusing on being healthy, exercising 5-6 days a week and being a good example for my kids. I commend you for your weight loss journey and am rooting for you!! Keep up the great work and the great videos!!

Haha, the hand signal at 16:40 was to tell the other person that they needed a bathroom break!! The volcano just automatically erupts on a timer

Appreciate you! I was at universal just before lockdown and my pride took a big hit as I tried all of the seats and couldnā€™t get that green light. I even had the tease of getting the green light in hagridā€™s test seat, only to be turned away just before getting on ride and waiting in 90 minute queue. Iā€™m not over 300 lbs, but still feared what would happen at volcano bay if I went there. my ticket included a day at that park, but we just went for a walk around and lunch because didnā€™t know how they checked weight and was too self conscious after universal experience. Itā€™s good to understand how that works now and wish I was closer to take advantage. Hopefully soon! Thanks for the informative videos and love that you are so diligent with your mask wearing šŸ‘

Thank you, Adrian for putting yourself out there for us. Volcano Bay was not on my list, but now it's definitely going to be.
  • Great video, never watched any of yours before, but was thrilled to hear you were able to get your weight down enough to experience this park. Losing weight for amusement parks is always a great goal and way to measure your success. I loved your tour of the park, it's been awhile since I've seen someone walk through it, looks like it is still a great experience despite all the Covid restrictions.
  • Thank you so much for this! My husband is just over 300 and is working diligently on losing weight. We are planning to go to all 3 parks in July and I have been worried about which rides he could go on in each park. Your honesty and openness is so very helpful! I really appreciate it and Iā€™m glad I found your channel.
  • Not gonna lie, I was 326 when I went to Disney back in July and I was super happy I was able to ride Flight of Passage. Absolutely worth the discomfort but I used to be pushing 370 + so getting down to that point and being able to ride most of everything I wanted at Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom.

I love this video! The honesty of the video is refreshing. It just shows that theme parks need to start just not to be looking at disability but other issues that other people have when you are over weight. Itā€™s embarrassing when for someone to try to get on a ride that a cast member say itā€™s ok to get on and then find that they canā€™t fit and be asked in front of everyone to get off. Love thisšŸ’œšŸ’œšŸ’œšŸ’œ

I sorta just stumbled across this video and decided to watch it. It was great to see you get to ride the slides you wanted to. Congratulations on your weight loss journey. Your excitement about being able to ride was adorable!
  • I am obsessed with your positivity, energy, and honesty with this video. Thank you!
  • I'm going at the end of this month and this video was so helpful you have no idea. Not even just for weight restrictions but a view of what to expect!! Thank you šŸ˜Š
