  • Im a legal immigrant from the Philippines. It is degrading to compare a legal immigrant to an illegal immigrant. Immigration is a privilege not a human right.
  • I'm not a trumper, in fact I can't stand him. But he never once talked about deporting LEGAL immigrants. The beginning of this piece is misleading
  • This dude can quote the Statue of Liberty as much as he likes, it doesn’t change the fact that the Statue of Liberty has never been federal immigration law, it’s just a symbol.
  • The fact people are this surprised when we finally enforce our laws is pretty sad
  • @odouls779
I am an American citizen and petitioned my daughter in 2006. We are still waiting in line. It is never right to break the law. You must follow the law. This is a nation of laws.
  • Illegals who disrespected U.S. law, refuse to integrate and learn the language and culture, and do not paw income tax is a problem for BOTH SIDES. Do it right and everyone is better for it.
  • 17 years and he didn’t bother applying for citizenship until it was too late?
  • @MemosaS
Americans are struggling in America. That’s why sympathy for those who break the law to live here has run pretty much run out.
  • There's nothing stopping that woman from being with her husband who was deported. Guess she's too good for EL Salvador.
  • You have your papers and you married the guy but you didn’t get him his papers. You got no one to blame but yourself.
  • Seriously? I came into the United States legally, if you do it the right way, yiu won't have to worry about being deported
  • If someone broke the law by coming in illegally: then how can they get upset if they're're finally charged?
  • Hmm, here's a thought. Don't come here illegally and remain here, have children and expose them to a horrible situation. The kids suffer from the parents stupidity. smh
  • Why do people choose to have kids before becoming a legal citizen? That’s on you if you’re separated from your kids.
  • @rgurung
Good or bad illegal is illegal and to be an illegal is a federal criminal offense. Period.
  • I love how they ignore the "illegal" part of it. If you do something illegal, there are consequence , period.
  • Well these people can sell their house and move to El Salvador if they are so sad
  • So I rob a bank. Have been living under the radar for a decade. Finally I get arrested and then get angry with the government wondering why robbing banks is illegal.
