  • The 63 side of the garage conned the 44 side... if Lewis was aware that George was actually going on a 1 stop, he would have attacked George and pass him early in the stint....
  • Rumour has it.. Lewis has been struck down with a little known condition called smiles syndrome since hearing the news.

This clearly shows they're fighting against Hamilton. Now it back fires on them. Can't they just do the right thing.
  • It wasn't a strategic piece of genius. Hamilton was going for the same thing until Toto derailed it.
  • @Moglito.0
Hamilton is fighting against his own team too lol
  • @ZCATSAPES
There was nothing strategic there, HAM on Lap 26 was saying his tyres were good but forced him to BOX, I am happy RUS lost Merc and deserved it.
  • Mercs tried to be crafty Favoring George an back fired 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

The Mercedes' call to let their drivers fight it out on track was very risky. Piastri was catching both on fresher tyres and Russell's tactic slowed them down allowing Piastri to catch them. The sensible thing to do was let Hamilton through earlier and allow Russell to stay in Hamilton's slipstream, keeping him away from the fast closing Piastri. The fact Mercedes didn't do that suggests they were more concerned with rewarding Russell OVER Hamilton. There's no doubting Russell's bravery, deciding to do the race on one tyre change. But Hamilton had driven the better race right from the first lap when he passed Perez and the second lap when he took the lead from Leclerc. Some might say this is karma at work!

The more damning thing is that Mercedes tried to hide the weight problem by leaving 2.8kg of fuel in the tank instead of draining it all. The tire deg weight loss may have been accidental, but the coverup is dirty.

Mercedes are trying too hard to make Russell look good and it is not working out for them sadly. Race after race Mercedes goes out of their way to assist Russell to make him look like a top driver which he is NOT.

Lewis won it fear a square period

The right call was to tell Russel to let Lewis through and then they could work together to keep Oscar behind them. That might have saved some rubber and rescued their 1-2. The more Mercedes tries to side line Lewis the more it backfires.
  • @MAS-ASSASSIN
Because its was not possible and Russell is not the most economical on his tires ever...

Mercedes need to hold their collective heads in shame honestly. What the fuck are is Mercedes even doing here? They found something off with George's car and there they are trying to pull a fast one on the FIA by not drawing the fuel before the weight was taken. Is something wrong with Toto? This isn't normal behaviour honestly. It was abundantly clear they tried to engineer this win for George and it shows they have their priorities fucked up. They never told Lewis he was racing Russell and that Russell was on a one stopper until much later. Why even take the bloody risk knowing full well if you are found wanting its a DSQ? WHY? Merc should be focused on grabbing every possible point not trying to engineer race wins for one driver over the other. Its BS and it reeks of desperation. One more lap and Piastri would have overttaken both Mercedes drivers. No team orders given despite that being the best call. Its no wonder Lewis is leaving really.
  • Question: When has George ever won on merit? 🤔.... He always goes for risky tactics.
  • @TheNorville2
Lewis wanted to do a 1 stopped but they refused it... so George was not alone.
