This video is squarely aimed at those that would like to learn how to build, convert, paint and base there first 1/35 Tamiya military figure set.
An Elite Team
From the second half of 1944, the M1943 field jacket replaced the M1941, which had been used through most of the early U.S. involvement in WWII; simultaneously, double buckle boots were also introduced. A soldier would typically carry a canteen, ammunition pouch, scope, poncho and more, with the average infantry equipped with a firearm such as the M1 Garand, BAR M1918A2 or a M1A1 sub-machine gun. Officers wielded an M1 carbine. Scout teams would carry a handy talkie radio. This set recreates an infantry scout team of five, which will make a superb project by itself, and can of course be used in a diorama or vignette.
About the Model
★This is a 1/35 scale figure assembly kit. ★Parts recreate soldiers from the second half of 1944, wearing the M1943 field jacket: a commanding officer with M1 carbine surveys the scene, two standing soldiers have an M1 Garand and BAR respectively, a further soldier kneels with the stock of his M1 on the ground, and one soldier is pictured with the handy talkie. ★Comes with a wide range of crisply molded small arms. ★Decals are included for recreation of various rank insignia

Thats a great job on those figures. Detailed painting of what i could see. Unfortunately i dont have home internet so im straining to see on my mobile phone data. The figures have improved compared to the earlier versions. They do look natural rather in ridiculous poses. Tamiya continue to come up with better figures all the time. Excellent work there. From Australia.👍🇭🇲🦘✌️

Fantastic enjoyed this video. I used to assemble Tamiya in 70s & 80s. 👌🇦🇺

Tamiya figures have come a long long way. you have great figure skill

That is a great set and the figures are top notch. I have them planned with 3 other figures for a diorama where they are watching one of their comrades getting attended to by a medic while one is giving a report to their commander.

Another great tutorial mate! Tamiya has finally reached a pinnacle of plastic injection moulding that surpasses Dragon and Miniart kits. Has to be one of the best kits that I’ve assembled. They have been very clever to hide the sprue attachment points and provide the recessed personal equipment areas which make it more realistic. Great work and thanks for sharing your work again ❤😊

Great video. The beauty of uniforms is that they change colour over time. They're only their "true" colour for a few weeks. Eventually they fade. Therefore, all five of those soldiers would've had a different colour uniform, and even their pants would've been a slightly different colour from their jacket. You could've chosen almost any combination of the colours you tested and it would've looked authentic.

大师!真漂亮!可以说是我看过的最好的兵人涂装教程了!太佩服了!

Brilliant vid very comprehensive but so easy to understand 👍

Great video, very thorough. You might have skipped over the spraying the base layer a bit too quick, for a moment I thought you were airbrushing straight onto the raw plastic. Video shows what can be achieved with good injection moulding and solid painting skills!

Awesome mate, keep up the great work! 👍

Greetings Bear, those figures were outstanding, I think Tamiya figures have come a long was from days of old, I just wish they would updater some of their vehicles, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia 👍👍👍👍
