Cheating: Result of a ethics, fear of failure, lack of confidence, and stupidity.

i love how nobody talks about how the next 30-40 people after Lance also tested positive EVERY SINGLE ONE

As a former competitive runner, witnessing Marion Jones' rise and fall was so heartbreaking... especially considering steroids ruin your body in the process too ultimately cost her nearly everything else. Giving back her medals quietly was honorable, though.

I know I'm stating the obvious but surely Lance Armstrong takes this list I mean his entire cycling career was based on a lie you surely can't beat that
  • @rokana9641
It always ends in tears...if it doesn't kill you first ofcourse
  • @seandelap8587
Michelle Smith during the 1996 Olympics won 4 gold medals in swimming only to later test positive for banned substance there was huge uphoria here in Ireland after her winning performance so its a very big deal here when she was later accused of cheating

While it was noted in a previous comment, the 1919 “Black Sox” scandal is a glaring omission with, I’d argue, a strong case for #1 on this list. It’s rather well known and has reverberated through baseball, if not sports, history since. Tarnishing “Shoeless” Joe Jackson’s career and banning him from baseball, Field of Dreams and the book that inspired it, even the rules that still keep baseball’s all-time hit leader banned from the game rose from that scandal.
  • I'm surprised you didn't mention the deflate gate incident in the NFL. That was all over the news.

What about the time at the 51st all valley Karate tournament where Cobra Kai's sensei Terry Silver was found guilty of paying off certain referees to make sure his students won their matches?

There's something both oddly fascinating and terrifying about us humans and the almost instantaneous way we show our evil/dark sides in any activity, sport or event whenever money is involved.

I can't believe they cheated. Cheating does lead to consequences. People should not cheat. They should play fair. They could've saved all their money if they didn't cheat. I heard about Lance Armstrong cheating by using steroids when I was little. It sucks that a wife had a divorce with his husband.
  • Although it wouldn't really be considered "cheating" by conventional standards, the fact that Chael Sonnen ever even fought in MMA ruined the lives of everyone else who fought during his career, since he simultaneously held every title in every weight class, and went undisputed and undefeated for his entire career, never even lost a round. They should have created separate titles for everyone not named Chael P. Sonnen. The "P" stands for "greatness."
  • Lance Armstrong. I was really young, but I remember my father admired him for being such a machine (a nickname of sorts for him). And when the truth came out it was so sad. As I grew up I even got mad at him. What a way to fall from grace.
  • wow i cant believe people actually paid thousands to cheat so mad!!!

Tonya Harding and the Russian judge from the 2002 Winter Olympics
  • Right now, Kenya has a HUGE problem with their marathon runners. Nearly 20% are getting caught doping. This is major in the running world.
  • Amazing video watch mojo of sports cheaters that destroy lives, fantastic job.
  • Cheaters NEVER win. Winners NEVER cheat. And Winners Don't Use Performance Enhancing Drugs.
