I was there with Cardiff, and though it wasn’t a great game to watch, it was a great day out, and a good result. Someone else mentioned the Cardiff mascot (a girl of about 6 or 7) and I’d like to send my thanks to the guy in the Watford hornet suit, because he went out of his way to make sure she had a great day to remember.

Love your videos mate , keep up the good work , really enjoyable watch

Enjoyed the game yesterday - I thought Watford showed some class with the Cardiff mascot before the game. The guy is right - it’s a quality ground tbf. Bluebirds!

It is a good old fashion ground , been a couple of times , not far from town centre neither if memory serve me . When you heading up North again ?
  • Must admit the ground looks good Matt. Remember going to the old Vicarage Road around the late 70s, when the Gills lost there in the FA Cup 5th round, after beating Peterborough at the Priestfield in front of a huge crowd, 5-1. Back in those days Watford had alot of Skinhead bovver boy fans, which was very intimidating. My mates and myself kept our mouths shut and were pleased Watford won lol

Away end is a death trap especially the access area to seating areas. Would hate to be in a situation were the it had to be evacuated in an emergency! Lot of these old fashioned grounds are the same modern stadia have their critics but at least in most cases they are safe!

When Gillingham game at Barrow was called off,I went up to Watford v Southampton and sat in the Graham Taylor stand.Right tonight of to Wingate & Finchley v Chatham Town.

For me Watford is culturally more London suburb than Hertfordshire town. Inside the M25, red buses, underground station. As to rivals, the highlight of the season so far was beating QPR twice. In the 1970s the rivals were Southend, Brentford and Swansea.

According to Google Brentford is 12 miles from Vicarage Road, as the crow flies, Arsenal is 14 miles, Tottenham is 15 miles and Luton is 16 miles. Watford are quite often included in London statistics and Ben Foster won Goalkeeper of The Year at the London Football Awards in 2019.

No I dont class us as a london club and definetly luton are our biggest rivals by a long shot, we played borehamwood at the start of this season in a friendly which ended 0-0 but no hate between us as they let any fan anywhere around the ground
  • @jasprr_1486
As a watford fan I would definitely not class us as a London club and think all of our fans would say the same thing. Biggest rivals are Luton 100% great video tho mate
