  • The story about the man who knew one thing -- that he had to buy flowers for his wife for Mothers Day -- is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen.

I threw away my wedding photos, after my divorce. I got rid of every single thing that bonded us, except our kids and the love letters he wrote me when he was boot camp. I decided to read this again, after 10 years of divorce. It was weird and lovely, at the same time. I saved them for my kids to read, when I'm gone from this earth. They don't know it yet. I just want my kids to know that they were created in a moment of love.

Thank The Universe for Steve Hartman!!!! He's certainly got the appropriate last name. Heart-Man.

The story of the kidney transplant really got to me. My husband was on dialysis for nearly 4 years before he went to the Lord. He never made it to the transplant list, but he always said when he finished a job, it was time to move on to something else. I think he had checked off all his "jobs" before he left me, but he's still in my heart and dreams every day.

Okay Charles and Louise’s love story got me right there y’all. ALL THE FEELS. 🥺♥️

This needs to be a weekly show/ weekly tv magazine like 60 minutes,, we need more positive stories, we are awash in toxic politics and negativity. We need more love and light

How can your heart be happy and break at the same time? These stories are wonderfully poignant, worth shedding tears while smiling. Steve Hartman is a national treasure.
  • In seventh grade a boy passed me a beautiful love note. That was 1962. I saved it. We were married in 1968, but divorced in 1971. I still saved it. And recently I gave it to our son, so he knows that we were once deeply in love.
  • I love all of Steve Hartman's pieces. He always brings the best in human nature to light. Love his kids too.

Steve please keep these coming. You are the greatest journalist with the most compassion. Thank you.
  • The men featured in this piece are true Stand Up Guys! Wish there were more like them around.

A Marines service to country never ends. Lucky for this Marine, his gift of a lifetime came back to him a million times over. What a story. Semper Fi 🇺🇸.

This man is a man beyond man, how can someone think to give part of thr vital part for someone? He’s honestly selfless

This is like a cool oasis in a desert of cactus thorns and blazing relentless heat. I love seeing people behave selflessly because they understand that love isn't a commodity you run out of, it's the goose that lays the golden egg.
  • These were all beautiful stories but the goose one got to me the most. Amelia knew where Arnold was and visited him daily, flying off across the lake together at the end. Such a tear-jerker.
