Sticky Fingaz "The Autobiography of Kirk Jones" is an album you have to listen from start to finish. Sticky is telling a story throughout the album. It's definitely an underrated album!

The way y’all described how music impacted us as kids, was spot on. It did make me want to be smarter and to be ready for whatever came my way. I’m so blessed to be raised during hip hop’s Golden Era. I feel really bad for today’s youth though.

I don’t believe an album “has” to be a story to be great, Illmatic is a prime example of a collection of songs that is not a story & still a great album. I don’t think there is one blueprint.

13:09 So true. Majority of people are going for "vibes" music. They dont want to pay attention to lyrics, they dont want to listen to what the artist has to say. Which is why you see decline in lyrical rap audience. Ive always been someone eho paid attention to lyrics, whether it was songs in my native language or in English, no matter what genre it was. I'll always be that person. Its sad to see lyrics take a backseat these days
