Now this is what I call a video tutorial. Finally, something detailed enough with enough visualization to actually help the average "tinkerer". Thanks for a great job.

Hey Don I'm watching this 10 whole years 2020 after you made it in 2010. Congratulations for keeping me on for all this time. Thanks for putting this up.

donyboy73 I'm a retired GM engineer (INN LATE 60'S) and LOVE to work on/fix things. Your carb rebuild video was WELL DONE and just what I needed to guide me thru the job. Thanks for sharing, we need more tech folks in the USA to keep it functioning well. GOOD JOB!
  • @blueshirt94
Great example of how a fix-it video should be done. Good focused close-up views, no stumbling around, good pace, well-planned. Thanks for a good clear explanation of everything needed. You just won over another new subscriber.

As usual. clear, simple, and straight to the point with no meandering or detours. Well done. Thank you, DonyBoy73.

This helped me so much. The first time I've cleaned a carb and it was straight forward thanks to this video. Now my old mower is running smoothly.
  • @ct026
Saw a mower on Facebook today, "free to collector, non starter spares or repair" it has this same engine. It already had a new spark plug so I searched and found your video. I stripped the carb and did exactly what you did.........and the mower started first time! Happy days and cheers for the vid mate. All the best from Swansea, UK.

  • @cassiusclaynyc
been 20 years since I cleaned a lawn mower carb. Followed your excellent video and my briggs started on the first pull. THANK YOU!

I have to say this,Our ride on broke down,so i resorted to pulling out a lawn mower we had in shed for i would say ten years.Living in Ireland we need to act when the sun shine`s as it`s a rare occasion....It never really worked to be honest, that`s why it ended up in the shed, anyway,i came a cross your videos and i took it apart and followed all your videos.....To my shock i got it started!!!!!!! All thanks to your clear, concise videos....Thanks so very much for all your informative help....My other half works abroad and he was shocked i done it..I think we are the only people on the planet with this lawn mower as i cant find any info on it.......Thanks a million Ruth x

Thanks very much! This is the same lawnmower I agreed to service for a friend. I'm not a mechanical guy, I've never worked on a carburetor before, but with this and a couple of other HD videos on carburetor tune-ups, I was able to get it right on the first try. It started up on the second pull! Woo-hoo! Thanks very much for this video. 7+ years and still helping us out!
  • @Grungydan
Thanks for your time and effort in putting this together and making it available. I just bought a used mower and this is pretty much all I think it needs, and I haven't torn into a small engine in years. This reminded me of all the stuff I had forgotten. Cheers!

Kudos to you donyboy73....and to others like you who take the time to share their knowledge.... I have zero small engine experience.....And after being in storage for nearly 10 months, my Troy Bilt Storm 2840 snowblower was DOA today. Your vid taught me enough to get the carb off and give it a good cleaning....I just got it all back together, filled the tank, engaged the electric starter and it fired right up. Thank you so much!
  • @2010GApastor
Very helpful video! I cleaned the carburetor and replaced a broken gasket, and it started on the first pull. Thank you.
  • @WhyJudgeLittle
Thank you so much for this video instruction. After I changed spark plugs, air filter, fuel, removed rust off the coil/flywheel, etc.....my mower still would not start. But when I simply removed and cleaned and reinstalled the bowl around the carb float, and the mower started right up and now runs as new!! Awesome!! Thank you again!
  • Hey Dony, Just another thank you for this thorough video. You are so easy to understand and it gave me the confidence to take on the repair. I successfully resurrected my old lawn mower. It would not start at all. I have had it about 12 years so I guess it was past due for some TLC.  It now starts with one pull every time!  Im so proud- I did it all by myself!   Best regards, Cindy
  • Thank you sir, after a career in mental health that ended due to budget issues, I am going to school for small engine repair in September you are an excellent teacher. Thanks and God Bless
  • @LoveInYourMouth
This was an absolutely beautiful guide. I successfully fixed my lawnmower today because of this. Thank you so much!
  • @TrogdorElite6
Awesome video! Got an old lawn mower from my grandfather as a house warming gift. Only used half a season, but has been sitting for 12 years. He had drained the gas, but when I went to fire it up, gas just poured out of the air filter though the carb. Other research told me it was the float. This video was so easy to follow! Took of the bowl, cleaned it and the exposed part of the float, and was good to go! Thanks for the video
