Football was at its peak in the 2000’s. The athleticism was on par with today’s athletes, but the toughness from the previous generations was still there. Hitting was still allowed and it was an actually fun product to watch each week. And before all the people come flooding in about head injuries, mf’ers we/they signed up for this game! I’m a professional boxer. I know the risks of it. I WANTED to do it. These men WANTED to play this game and knew the risks. It’s why everyone can’t play football. It’s what made these men great. Because of the risk

I’m not even an eagles fan but man how do you not love this guy. Eagles fans are lucky to have a man like that in their franchise history.

“I’m like Michael Jackson before he went crazy, I’ll be there” 🔥😭

This is one of the best ones made. An infectiously inspirational human being.

Such a shame he never got a ring with the birds absolute legend of a player
  • Even as a Ravens fan, I was honored to him get inducted into the Hall of Fame on the same night as Ray Lewis. Two of my all-time favorite players based on the pure emotions they brought to their teams.

Brian Dawkins was an athlete, hero, maniac, and savage rolled into one. He will forever be one of Philadelphia’s patron saints. God bless that man ✊💯

B Dawk, I'm still pissed the Eagles let you go. But I'm super thankful for you and that you're back in the nest.

You didn't have to be an Eagles fan to appreciate Weapon X in his prime. A hybrid linebacker/safety like no other.

    Dawkins Was A Different Breed.

As a Philly kid in the early 2000’s B Dawk was a mythical creature in our eyes 😂 I still remember that Crumpler hit like it happened yesterday! I Appreciate him for all the memories and excitement he brought to the South Philly community 💯 if you are from SP then you know exactly what I mean!

This is my favorite player and the only reason I tried playing football as a kid. Dawkins was the GOAT at his position.
  • @Caseycarlo
It's so awesome that he was on the staff of that super bowl team and finally helped Philly get that ring

Absolutely incredible player and person. Him transforming into Weapon X when the game started wasn’t an exaggeration. He turned into that alter-ego and played his heart out. That’s why he achieved legend and HOF status.

Man you still see the passion and grit on his face in the beginning when he’s walking out the tunnel into the stadium. Man is a true warrior
