I haven’t even watched this yet and I feel a ray of hope. I’ve been thin my whole life but now I find myself gaining weight and it’s so discouraging. I’m 57 and feel as if this whole menopause business is trying to wreck me! Well done, Jennifer!

I love how realistic this video is. Thank you for sharing!!! 💕
  • Hi Jennifer!!! Thank you for sharing!!! So inspiring!!! Keep up the great work!

Hi Jen, certainly is not easy changing our habits to form new ones. Your doing amazingly well. Thank you for sharing x
  • Thanks for sharing. I was so worried you were sick. So glad you aren’t. It’s wonderful you have your blood sugar under control with out medication. 😊
  • You are the best. So down to earth, relatable, likable and helpful. Thank you. 😊❤
  • I'm glad you're feeling better!!! Sorry for the loss of your mom and dad. You're looking great!!!😃💗👍
  • Thank you SO much for doing this Jen - I have a VERY similar situation and I've just started to do this, but it is SO helpful to hear your experience and also the recommendation of the book etc!
  • Thank you for sharing this. I started intermittent fasting (8 hour eating window) in January and lost 20 pounds. I started cheating here and there with guests, vacation, weekends, etc. and have gained about 5 back but it’s nice to know that I CAN lose weight when I need to because 1200 calories and working out regularly just wasn’t cutting it with thyroid and hormone issues. Now you’ve encouraged me try shortening my window and seeing what works. Overall I feel so much better and happy to hear your success story. Congrats! ❤

Hi Jen You look great. I could definitely see you lost weight and glad to hear it was not from stress with everything you had going on. 30 pounds is something to be proud of and the fact that you have made changes to maintain it is wonderful. Congratulations on finding a healthy alternative that is working for you.👍

You look amazing!! I always love your positivity
  • That was a fabulous chat! I’ve done intermittent fasting before but I am really keen to try TRE. I have played around with it before but you’ve inspired me to get serious! 😊
  • This is SO helpful! I am currently in one of the most stressful times of my life, and in my “survival mode” of almost the last year, I have eaten like crap, lacked exercise, and started feeling awful. I’ve done well with the “eating windows” in the past, and this is inspirational for a fresh start! (You look amazing, and I knowwww, that’s not the point, but it’s a great bonus!🤣❤️). ❤️❤️❤️
  • I‘m glad the weight loss was intentional and does improve your health bc a few times over the last year I was wondering it could be the other way around.Good girl 😊😘🙋🏻‍♀️

My husband (and I) have been doing IF (8 hrs) and eating low carb foods together for 6 mo. (He had just crossed into diabetes when we started). He has lost 25 lbs and moved to pre-diabetes (the goal is to move into NO diabetes of any kind). We are still doing it…it’s a lifestyle change. I did it with him because it was the only way it would work to keep him motivated, esp since he retired and we are together all the time. I lost around 5 lbs… but it was the 5 lbs I was NEVER able to lose and maintain. It’s been so easy and rewarding. I am so happy for you! Way to go.🤩 By the way… I had gestational diabetes too, so you reminded me I really need to stay on top of things! TY!

This is fascinating and thank you for sharing your experiences! I have finally taken my weight seriously for the first time in 40 years and using the LoseIt app and intermittent fasting has really been revolutionary for me. As you say, it's got to be seen as a lifestyle change, not just a diet, and the intermittent fasting (I do 14 hours, 8pm-10am) is pretty much my norm anyway so it's been easy to maintain. Plus, it encourages me to think about better food choices. I'll take a look at that book and thank you for the recommendation!
  • I couldn’t agree with you more Jennifer, definitely doable and sustainable! I started intermittent fasting end of January and I’m down 23lbs. It’s been amazing since hitting my late 40’s, now 50, losing weight has been so difficult but intermittent fasting has been a game changer! Thank you for this video!
  • Thank you for sharing your personal story Jennifer! You are an inspiration to me! I have been trying to lose menopausal weight and have not lost weight with calorie decrease and exercise. I think intermittent fasting is what I need. Wishing you the best of health!! ❤️😘
