Nobody should EVER say "you should be over it," whether you've lost a parent, child, friend, dog, cat, gerbil, or goldfish! People need to be more sensitive about grief. The main lesson is: everybody handles grief in their own time and in their own way. Love to you and Flip's spirit.

Once you’ve had a soul fur child, it’s never the same. I sit here writing this with tears streaming. While I love my other kids, I miss my space trucking mama, Pebbles, every day. 2 years & 5 months later the loss is still here, but it’s a reminder to cherish the ones I have here with me & to live in the moment with them. Thanks for sharing & loving.

Not just a dog..definitely a family member….I’m much older than you so I’ve lost several furry family members in their old age …always devastating…sometimes I swear I can feel their presence. I admire what you do..yep Flip is so proud…

What especially got me was when you were getting emotional talking about Flip, Serena immediately came right up and tried to comfort you. She's very empathetic and whoever takes her home is going to be very lucky to have her in their life!
