The problem with gurus is they start getting high on their own supply. If they had a competency they drift from it and think their knowledge applies to all disciplines. Be skeptical.

1) can be interesting to know the moral spectrum of a public figure you admire 2) still feels like gossip rather than a desire to delve deeper into science and psychology 3) analysis of his behaviour from a psychological standpoint definitely has utility — but being totally objective, there’s definitely a significant aspect of choosing this specific person, and the nature of the analysis, which is to gain views and greater coverage — and therefore feels slightly forced and manipulative. A slight character attack perhaps. 4) Dr Grande is still an incredibly useful and wise analyst.

This is why "critical thinking" should be extensively taught in schools from an early age.

I’m not sure that Huberman doesn’t support flu vaccines and sunscreen. I remember in has video about cold and flu he distinctly recommends getting them, but says that they aren’t 100% effective because you might contract a strain not included in the vaccine. He also says that sunscreen is effective at preventing sunburn and skin cancer. I’m not sure where you heard him say it’s potentially hazardous, but I feel like that might be out of context.

Intelligence charisma, and deep seated insecurity, are a dangerous combo. We need balanced caring role models, politicians. They are out there, if you make the effort to find them.

my dad had a complicated and difficult surgery. the were gossips about the surgeon being a womanizer, unfathful husband. I understand his morality in relations with women is questionable, but it doesn't change the fact that his professionalism saved my dad's life.

In this day and age you can find out about other people so quickly that it will make your head spin. Buyer beware.

Just a note here: I am a school bus driver of 42 years and my experience in driving children of mental health professionals is enlightening ... while helping to straighten out the lives of other people ,, their own home lives are a mess and far from healthy.... their kids are out of control, acting out and entitled.... sort of like the hair dresser with horrible hair or the mechanic that drives a junker........... lol
