Finally an accurate depiction of Henry in all his ruthlessness that doesn't romanticize him.
-
Finally a movie about Henry VIII that isn't about Anne Boleyn!
-
This is the best trailer I have seen in years. Couldn't even recognize Jude Law. Had to watch it twice.
-
omfg finally a film about a Henry VIII Wife and it's NOT Anne Boleyn! I may actually have to go see this one. I love C. Parr. Also: thank god for more accurate historical costuming

Alicia Vikander is one of the rare actresses who can make you feel every emotion with just a single look. When watching The Danish Girl you felt sadness and sometimes even joy from her. With Ex Machina you felt fear of what she might do next. Even with Tomb Raider, you felt her adrenaline which led to excitement. In Tulip Fever you questioned her every move and motive but somehow still wanted her to win..and on and on. Firebrand may just put her on that Oscar stage yet again!

Take my money already!! This looks amazing. Alicia Vikanders is magnetic and I nearly spit out my tea when I realized that was Jude Law!
-
We love an accurate Henry! His cackle was horrifying. I can't wait to see what Alicia does with this role.

Omg shut up and take my money!! I have chills this is gonna be sooooo goood!
-
That's Jude Law?!

Frankly, I’m amazed there haven’t been more films about Katherin Parr. For me, she remains a figure of constant fascination. On one hand, she is the wife who survived and nearly swayed the king into reforming the church of England. And helped shape Elizabeth. On the other hand, she is the stepmother who betrayed the princess who she loved as a daughter for a man who by today’s standards would be regarded as a pedophile (though honestly that’s what he should’ve been considered even for his time).

There's no way Catherine and Henry spent that much time together in real life. Also, I bet Jude Law loved this role!
-
Looks amazing! Jude Law is an undeniable force! And Alicia Vikander !
-
When I saw the thumbnail for this I thought "For gods sakes, another Boleyn film" IM SO GLAD I CLICKED.. We need more media about Catherine Parr, and Henry's other wives: Anne of Cleves and Catherine of Aragon
-
Glad to see Katherine Parr getting a film made about her, it looks great and I can’t wait to see it!
-
I still remember being fascinated by Catherine Parr when I saw Joely Richardson in The Tudors. Can’t wait to see Alicia Vikander in this role, one of my favorite actresses. Both her and Jude Law look great here!
-
Finally a movie I'm willing to go to the theater to watch!
-
Alicia is a REAL actress and embraces any role she takes on
-
I'm a Tudor buff and this looks thrilling. There have been so many films about Anne Boleyn and her daughter Elizabeth I that both topics have become threadbare, so it's about time that Catherine Parr should get her own movie because her story is just as taut as those of Anne and Elizabeth. :face-red-heart-shape::face-blue-smiling::eyes-pink-heart-shape:

Can they please give Jude Law an Oscar now? He is well overdue.

Catherine Parr was the only woman who survived as his sixth wife. Truly a very smart lady to have survived a mad tyrant of a husband.
