The exact name of the place is Place d’Armes in the Old Montreal district. This monument Fountain is called the Maisonneuve Monument and was designed by architect Louis-Philippe Hébert—it is made out of bronze (statues) and concrete (pillar, and foundations). The men and woman depicted on this monument are Paul de Chomeday Sieur de Maisonneuve, (located on top- Governor of Montreal), a long with with Charles Le Moyne, Lambert Closse, Jeanne Mance, and an Iroquois Native.
