As a UO student myself, I can confirm most of the answers are pretty accurate. However, many may disagree because of where they come from and have differing opinions based on their experience in the past.

As a Hispanic, i have never in my life experienced any racism at U of O. My latino friends have all said they love how welcoming it is!

Finding Ducks to complain about stuff is so funny because they try their hardest not to be cancelled by literally EVERYONE around them.

I went to UO about 20+ years ago and the major complaint was the lack of old-fashioned outhouses. I would stumble upon porta-potties every once in a while around construction sites but I was expecting an old-fashioned outhouse on every street corner. Major disappointment for me to this day. I still cry about it like I am doing right now.

As a fellow University student that went to Eugene attending a Christ Centered University called Bushnell University, I do have to admit the time that I was there it felt as if I was surrounded by everything University of Oregon.

It's an interesting complaint about the lack of POC. Did they not tour the campus or area prior to enrolling? Do they expect every place they go to have an equal distribution of races? Is the lack of POC immediately equal racism?

hey im new but i live in eugene it is very racist as a filipino i get dirty looks and ppl trying to bully me or dominate me my favorite part of eugene is winter and the rain<3
