FALLOUT 4 Bridging the gaps in my Murkwater TIPS & TRICKS vid + going underground with the Railroad.

There are NO MOD's used in this video.

If you haven't watched my Murkwater video some of this video may not make sense. You can watch that video here:

And a link to Limmy's channel. He is truly one of the most innovative and gifted Fallout builders I know of. He didn't post much on YouTube as Reddit is his preferred place but what he did upload here is must see.

And here is a link to ROBERT Uhlyarik's work in progress version of my larger building. Be sure and check it out    • A quick tour for The Insane Shecklador

As I mentioned Limmy taught me how to sink things deep with the barn/warehouse foundation and wall. Eventually I gravitated to the shack bridge for it's smaller profile and eventually I learned you can sink them right through each other with the campfire (or garden plot)

The key is to make sure your group selected items "jump". By setting the pillar on top of a foundation piece the "jump" is basically guaranteed. This can be achieved using items other than the pillar but the pillar is something we always have at hand and are familiar with.

As I said in the vid it's the "foundation" that is sinking into the fire and not the pillar. I think there are sinking spots on the foundations just like there are hop spots when rug glitching. Spinning and moving the foundation can help locate the sink spot and allow you to better figure out where to place the fire.

The pillar being too close to the fire can also make it go red. It's better to put it on the end that is away from the fire.

I should have mentioned it early on in the video but being up on some stairs really helps when sinking things. The boxcars in particular really hate sinking when you are at ground level.

When glitching multiple items together you will have to plan out your build order. It's fairly easy to sink multiple items into one item but sinking even one item into multiple items is difficult or impossible. Spreading the fire across multiple items may help but it's still better to just sink into one item at a time when possible.

I showed the two shack bridges with the railings and quarter wall combo going through a roof. This works with wood roofs and metal roofs but the fire does not seem to work with barn/warehouse roofs, or the cloth roofs in the wood tab.

Near the end I showed that the boxcars with a pillar can sink things the deepest I know of. If you find a way to sink things even more I would love to hear it. You may have noticed a few times when my scaffold got too low it would jump all the way back up. At that point it is often easier to go up with the thumbstick just a little bit and it will jump right back down most of the time. This is easier then trying to lower it all the way back down only to go too far and have it jump again.

If I think of any more info I'll add it to a pinned comment.

If you'd like a more detailed tour of the insides of my scaffold prefab houses let me know.

Also if you build any cool houses with the prefabs let me know.

I read every comment so feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Thanks for watching!

  • I mentioned Limmy in this vid. Here is a link to some pics of one of his settlements. This was created using only "vanilla assets". That means the standard items from the vanilla build menu (including DLC's), in game items from our pipboy such as clothing/junk items/weapons/etc, and items you can carry back to your settlement like tires/boxes/tricycles/etc. He used mods that allowed him to resize, rotate, and make items static but everything you see here are "vanilla assets" Enjoy imgur.com/a/bJgmD

I love the prefab scaffolding idea at the end!! Very nicely done!
  • BRILLIANT application of the scaffolding prefabs. I know Sar's rippin' that off.
  • @Quicksmoke
Jesus that is some brilliant stuff there I usually use place anywhere but you gave me some great ideas thanks
  • @truflat
Another great idea Sheck, can’t wait to try something with the pre-fab scaffolding. Thanks again buddy, we will catcha soon man.🤘🏼
  • @Two-Wives
Fan-fracking-tabulous! Awesome Sheck-niques to add to my meager arsenal of building tools!
  • @ladyhagaming
Hi Shecklador 👋👋👋 Wow I think it is soo freaking awesome. I am so intrigued by the scaffolding prefab houses. The looked, very scrabylius ☺️ 😉 Thank you for the awesome video hugs and love from Helene 🤗
  • @mr.e5960
I never in a million years would have thought that putting the pillar on top (8:20 ish) would get that to work in any way. Thanks for sharing Shecklador.
  • @EZEfallout
Wow this is very helpful. Thanks for sharing the knowledge! Thumbs up!!!
  • @cantonprovince
What's up Sheck!? I've just been through your last 3 vids including the Nuka idea. Brilliant stuff! You've totally mastered clipping shenanigans adding the campfire/garden plot to the repertoire. Amazing you’re still going next level on vanilla builds man, but then again, I knew that about you the moment we met! That was a lovely little surprise I read in the description here as well, thanks!
  • @KevinAlibert
you broke me ! I had to delete my fallout 4 due to save corruption (yep all of them) but as soon as I reinstall it you might have given me the keys of coastal cottage ^^ thank you for all those tricksm really usefull
  • Some really cool stuff. Some of it I don't think you even needed the concrete pillar. Thanks for some more ideas. One question. When you used the boxcar to sink the scaffolding, do you leave the boxcar in the ground?
  • @SarDeliac
Ah okay I get it now. Here I thought the pillar was the key but it's just an extender. That changes things a bit. Also, cast my vote for "I wanna see those houses." Gonna totally steal the doorframe in the deep window wall though. :P
  • @AdamaSanguine
Wow those Sheck-shacks were worth the price of admission for me, well done, simply stunning! 😮😉🤠 So many ways to use that fire pit. I'm willing to bet Sar will be all over that walk way combo tomorrow! 👍☺🍎🤑🤜🤛🙏🖖 EDIT Now we need a Sheckla-dorm to house the students. Owe and a Insane Sheckla-home for the *retired builders*! Lol😁🤗🙂
  • @Two-Wives
I tried the pre-fab scaffolding tower trick at Egret Tours Marinan thought they would look cool coming out of the rocks out back on the south side. But I couldn't get them to sink, not even way out front on the east side of the build area. Maybe they are for beachfront property only?
  • Hey, Sheck! I was hoping you could direct me to a tutorial of how to do the "free wire" glitch? I believe it was a guy named Lemmy, if remember correctly but i cant find it. And i cant remember how to do it. You could essentially place a wire, and remove the conduits afterwards. I cant find the video anymore. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks Sheck!
